We recently took our 19 year old senior cat for a check up as we were very worried about him. Dr. Townsend was brilliant with our cat. Gave him a full check, fussed him lots and drained a cyst on his back without any stress to our boy at all. Dr Townsend made us feel so much better about the health of our cat and you could tell that she was genuinely happy with his health. Gave us after care advice and helpful tips. Couldn’t have asked for a better vet visit. Reception team very helpful and friendly too. Will be visiting again regularly for check ups for sure! Amazing vet.
Absolutely gutted having to put my lovely boy, Odin down yesterday due to profit over care, left in pain for months ……. Without having a clue what was wrong with him? Seriously do not use this group of vets nor any recommendations from them, they should be utterly disgusted and ashamed with themselves and whilst my dog passed away, all I could hear was them saying If I wanted to take my lovely Odin home after cremation rather than leave him there at a separate cost with other deaths at the practice, even to the end, they were trying to make profit over care The recommendation vet wouldn’t even examine his bottom because he had mess around his anal and he went due to diarrhoea problems!!! 1 1/2 hour journey each way and large bill at the end, for absolutely diabolical advice and service! I would’ve paid the Earth if I had been given the extra time to have help him when the problem should’ve been diagnosed and the procedure could’ve been done with the tumour being smaller and less chance of more complications
2ND UPDATE As always, imogen is the only person that Paco will allow to do his toenails, he is abit of a fairy lol. Always receive 5 star service from crossways. Over the many years of owning pets I have used many different vets but not one comes close to Crossways over last 15 years. I would never use another vet surgery. They truly care about ensuring their clients and the owners are getting the right information specific to their pet. My last bull terrier, Angel, had several strokes before getting dementia, and the only reason Angel continued to have such a great quality of life was down to Imogen and the work she put in ensuring everything was right. When Angel was almost 15 years old, we had to make that decision to put her to sleep, and imogen was there to do it as she always was, and even wrote a little tribute to Angel on the blue-cross rememberance page. We received very personal handwritten cards from Imogen, Chris and Maxine which we keep next to Angels ashes. After losing Angel we rescued another bully Xena, and she too will always be treated by Crossways, and they always go above and beyond. We took Xena in just other day as she was poorly, so I asked the vet if they would also do blood tests just to make sure everything was OK for my own piece of mind. Turned out her red blood cells were very high, but she is now back to normal. So Crossways don't treat owners like we are over the top, they are so understanding. As Xena is getting more and more stressed out with having toe nail clips now, I requested that she is sedated for her next clip, because of the state she gets into and they immediately agreed this would be better for Xena. If you have questions, they are always happy to provide info. So, Crossways for me are the best around. UPDATE1 Sadly we lost princess xena in jan 2024, on 26th March 2023. Dan gave our 2 new 4 year old bullies a full checkup as we had just picked them up from their first home and provided us with lots of options for their skin allergies. Fantastic service as always. Always very efficient and the vets are brilliant with my timid cat. Highly recommend.
Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. Vet didn't make any effort to calm the animal and gave a very confusing diagnosis and way forward. Also left needle on table for animal to tread on. Previous visits have always been good.
Took my dogs for the first time this week, we had a very warm welcome staff were so helpful from our first call to register them, to visiting. Everything was clearly explained to us as our new puppy has cherry eye and will need a procedure soon. Highly Recommend- their pet plan is also great.
I always use Crossways. They are consistently excellent. Last week my cat had an operation to repair an umbilical hernia. I turned out the hernia extended into the chest cavity. Dan, the vet, was brilliant and kind. My cat has recovered well. I can highly recommend.
My dog is nervous and has to be muzzled (for safety) which he hates but the vet was calm and professional. Although he was taken out the back to be given the injection, he came back quickly and all was forgiven- till next time!
