What a diamond geezer!!! Car dead and needed to do the school run and drive for work, he came out and got the car started after failed attempts with jump leads, whipped a new battery on and sorted!!! No charge for fitting or coming out to help me!! Absolute first class service!!!
Over the past seven years of visiting Cheadle from South Wales, I've had three occasions to call on Geoff. A low oil pressure, a MAP sensor and recently, an exhaust pressure sensor. On every one of those occasions, Geoff has squeezed me in and pulled me out of trouble. His diagnostics are there to identify the cause of the problem so he can fix it. He's not charging you to diagnose. He's using it to solve problems quickly and efficiently. His labour rate is very reasonable. A very genuine and knowledgeable bloke who has been very accommodating. One of the headlights on my car wasn't working despite having a new bulb fitted at Halfords. I was told by the team at Halfords that it was an electrical fault and they recommended that I find a local mechanic. I took my car to GMH auto who were able to diagnose it as just being incorrectly installed and had it sorted in about 5 minutes. Charged me less than the price of a cup of coffee too. I can't recommend them highly enough, not just beacause of their efficiency but also there honesty. The mechanic at GMH could have easily attributed the fault to a complicated electrical fault and I would have accepted it, paying whatever to get it sorted but the mechanic did not and for that, I am grateful.

I took my transit pick up there to have the turbo changed I asked on the Monday when I rang if he could do it if he had time his response was yes bring it asap . Monday night told me it’ll be done tomorrow which was the Tuesday but nothing done then told me Wednesday he’s taking the turbo off which never happened so on the Thursday 4 days later I went to the garage and his response was I’ve not got time to do it !!! After nearly a week of having it I asked him Monday do you have time ?? He said yes but Thursday all I got was the key back and had to find another garage .. THANKS GEOFF FIR YOYR APPALLING SERVICE

I've been taking vehicles to GMH for years. A good, honest mechanic who doesn't do needless work to bump up the bill, but will do what needs doing. Itemised bills, really knowledgeable and friendly.
Had trouble with my car and though they were closed at the time I was able to get it to the garage and leave the car at the garage and leave the keys in a secure place and the guys got back to me and it is great value and a fantastic service recommend to anyone
