   Popped in to Toolstation for a brick bolster (had no idea what one of these was! My son had sent me to buy one). A lovely young chap (I think his name was Blake) helped me decide which one might suit my needs the best. Was knowledgable about which one would suit my budget, and I was very happy with my purchase. Will definitely be returning if I need any tools in the future

   I went in store and ordered a tool. The tool had to be delivered from the supplier. I explained to the manager serving me that I was away for a week so needed it delivered to the store for collect. He processed the order and told me that he had made a mistake and it would be delivered to my home. I asked for the order to be cancelled and start again. He said he couldn't and basically shrugged his shoulders. The parcel needed to be signed for so was a real hassle for me. Poor attitude!

   From when this store opened most of the staff were brilliant. Always helpful and occasionally if they didn’t have something in apologetic and able to tell me where I could find something. We (my partner and I) came into the branch first weekend in March and it appears you have some new staff. The old lady was extremely rude to both her other female colleagues (one of whom was very young and looked like she was about to cry! The other apologised to me for witnessing it but if this is the new manageress then I won’t be using the store again. Just because you’re older it doesn’t give you the right to make other peoples workplace so miserable. They didn’t have in stock what I needed and after already telling her I don’t shop at Screwfix she seemed adamant in sending me there. This woman shouldn’t work with members of the public.

   Called in today looking for some small black screws for a bracket some clients bought (used) without screws. The young woman couldn’t have been more helpful. She went through the brochure, searched stock on the pc and ended up printing out t numerous pages for me to take away to show where I might source the screws. The chaps alongside couldn’t have been more disinterested, one even just on his mobile. I told the girl thanks for her help and I shall certainly be using them more frequently. Engaging and helpful.

   Visited Tool Station today. Nice and tidy place. Plenty of equipment on offer, some good deals too. Asked for a pack of 10 x 50 mm sds drill bits. Was greeted with a smile and then told 50mm sds were not available . But they did have 20 mm sds bits. I explained I needed 50 mmbits as a minimum and the boy just stood there with a blank expression on his face. I asked for 75 or 100 mm bits and was told they didn't exist. The boy did have a smile with his answers but nothing else. Ended up across the road at Screwfix who had everything I wanted. I
