I walk into the co-op with a handful of things I bought from the neighbouring shop, itsagift. I walked in around 3pm and go to the fridges and pick out 2 monster energy's and check out, the lady about 50 - 65 who was working the tills had demanded very aggressively that I show ID, I didn't have it on me so I decided to just cut my losses and leave the drinks however the same woman then shouts at me as I'm leaving to "pay for my other things" which I walked in the store with and she demanded I showed her as receipt for what I walked in with, terrible customer service!

This shop has since become completely irrelevant since heron foods opened, on multiple occasions I've had the same young guy probably 18 - 20 demand I show ID despite every other staff member not even bothering as I'm balding with a full beard... I only really go here for the parcel stop or at least I did before the same guy screamed at me that it was "inappropriate" for the parcel I went to go pick up to be in a dishwasher tablet container, I did not post this item as it was something I bought on vinted so in what way is it my fault? I now just get my parcels sent to the newsagents as they always greet me with a friendly smile.

The staff are always friendly and very helpful. The range and quality of food is excellent as the size of the shop is a little limiting in some respects That isnβt the case when buying bread, cakes and pastries however. The choice is not always easy as there is such a welcome range to choose from ! The wine section should be mentioned as there is plenty of well chosen wine to grace any table The price range is also to be commended too. Therefore I must raise my glass and say βCheers!β to Irthlingborough Co-operative.

Good store, only thing that lets it down is the queues. The actual tills never seem to be open only ever the kiosk. It would be a welcome addition to have some self scan tills for those that don't need the kiosk

This is a nice neat supermarket with its own car park at the front. There is a good selection here despite not being very big. I've found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. I haven't been served by grumpy ladies as others have mentioned but I find that people respond well to a friendly greeting and not so well to a grumpy customer.
