   I have lived next to this shop for 2 years now and must say I disagree with the bad reviews! This shop is great, all the staff including the 2 older men and the younger lady are absolutely amazing and I think the only reason anyone could come across as wary or watching you is because Upton was known for shop / cash machine break ins at co op which was why they removed their cash machine, so you can’t blame staff for ever being wary. They must have 100 customers a day here including the school kids rush, who cause issues for the homes here let alone in the shop and the staff are still always professional, friendly and more than helpful. They stock all your basics plus more considering the shop size it has all you could need, and they have the best variety of soft drinks in their fridges which many other competitor shops in Northampton do not stock. It is open every single day and this is a huge help to disabled people like myself or those who don’t want to pay the M&S garage prices. This is the perfect location for anyone needing necessities while using the field / walking dogs, because the shop has a selection of quick emergency items. In 2 years regularly using this shop I have never had an issue with prices, best before dates or where items are stored. Great shop and they work hard day in day out! Thank you to the staff :)

   The items in this shop are all expensive, mostly unmarked, I think sometimes they make up the prices on the spot as the totals don't add up and the receipts only say final price, not individual prices for items. The older gentleman running the shop will stare at me while walking around, and always looks angry. Also, it is crucial to always check best before dates before buying things here!! New and old items are stocked right next to eachother, such as bread and milk. There are also sweets and chocolate bars i have purchased that have been YEARS OUT OF DATE!! When mentioned I got a sorry, but nothing had been removed from shelves, and there are still lots of out of date items stocked. Please please please check dates before purchase, you and your children could get really sick from buying here.

   Staff are very rude. Customer service is shocking. And also this store has stole £50 from me. Took in a scratch card he scanned it onto the system then told me he had no money to pay it. Gave me the scratch card back so it’s absolutely useless to me. Will be returning for the £50 tomorrow morning and if it’s not paid I will involve the police as this is fraud and stealing.

   Just gave my son £4, he came back short changed. He went back to challenge and still short, only when challenged for the 2nd time (3rd time overall including original purchase) and with me present did they provide some change but still £1 short claiming we only handed £3 instead of £4 originally. Usually I'd put this down to a genuine error which happens, but after scanning good at the first challenge with only my son present they chose not to provide change even from £3 (circa £2.50 worth of goods) Even if we were misken £3 v's £4, it shows they are still taking advantage, descracful! Check your change!

   The paypoint never works and the staff aren't always helpful. Good for a top up shop but a bit pricey.
