   Really disappointed. We left our two dogs with Hideaway for just the one night. Firstly finding the place was an effort. We questioned whether we were at the right place as we had to drive through a wooded area and up to a gate with very little information. The thing that got me is that when the dogs were collected the following afternoon we had been told that they would have been walked… but they hadn’t been as the staff ‘hadn’t got round to it’ by all accounts. I try and post positive reviews but on this occasion I wouldn’t ever go back.

   I was really worried about leaving our 10yr old Staffie in a kennels he’d never been to before. He has health issues and gets stressed going into kennels. When we dropped him off, we were reassured they would take extra good care of him. I was nervous going to pick him up after 17 nights as I expected him to have lost weight as per previous stays at different kennels and possibly have over washed himself due to stress. I couldn’t have been happier to see him stretching after a nap & actually put on weight! He seemed so happy and even reluctant to leave! I can’t thank them enough and will definitely be using them again.

   Our 2 dogs have just returned from a weeks stay. They are always happy to stay there. Theresa and Gemma look after them well and nothing is to much trouble for them. Highly recommend them

   This is the 2nd time Hideaway has had our Malamute, Bear and he always comes home, happy, healthy and tired. They can't do enough for you, this time we were late getting back from a holiday and even though they closed at 5 they offered to walk Bear down to meet us at 530 at the lower gates. Recommended kennels.

   We just picked up our Paterdale Terrier for the second time since the kennels has had new ownership. He is so nervous of people having been abused before we took him in, and he's lost his companion last year and now has to go to the kennels on his own. Its fantastic to see him being cared for and looked after. He's comfortable with the owners and thats remarkable, and he's come back clean too! I can't speak highly enough of Theresa at the moment and I'm very happy to have the confidence to leave him here whilst we're away. Nothinh has been too much trouble and Im kept updated on how he's doing.

   Our dog has stayed at this kennel several times when the previous owners had it & we our dogs experience was always good/happy. My parents recently put our dog in while they were on holiday for 2 weeks (under the new management) and we are horrified by the condition he was in on picking him up. He has lost the equivalent of 3 cups of water in weight, he has been very sick since bringing him home & he looks as though he had been attacked by another dog! Although I understand taking on a new business is difficult, we expected our little boy to have been taken care of. We honestly will never take him back to this kennel. The new owners are more concerned about having a bad review than the fact that we are concerned we are going to loose our boy, due to the care he has been under. We trusted them to look after him. Never Again!!!

   Put our dog in there for a few days recently and was very impressed. Got a friendly welcome from the owner even though we were a bit late getting there. Kennels were clean and our dog seemed happy enough when he was collected. When I was walking up to collect him I met him out for a walk with the owner which was great to see. Would definitely take him there again.
