Called in to buy some marine fish this morning and left extremely happy. Was nice to actually go into a fish shop where the staff make an effort to engage with customers and give advice on different types of fish . Will definitely call back again
It's a 4 hour round trip for me, being one of my closest aquatics shops, I always get a warm welcome. The staff are always helpful and friendly! Great selection of fish and look in great condition and always on hand if I have an issue. Thanks!
Setting up a new aquarium and visited to get our tank and necessary equipment. The staff were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in helping us get all the right stuff.. Plenty of parking and being located in Dobbies you can have a good few hours looking round..
I’ve had assistance from a few members of staff and all in all so lovely. But a HUGE shout to Tina! She had helped me completely 180 flip my pond that was in a horrific state after purchasing a home with a pond. Helped me with filters and helped me understand how to care for the pond as a beginner. We saw a fish that had been missed by previous home owners so I came and got it some friends, found another fish in the pond. Then got another load shortly after (having 11 total) but sadly many of them passed and we couldn’t figure out why until I noticed the ‘filter’ in the pond was just a pump so the poor fish where swimming in their own filth being pumped around. One fish passed within 24 hours of buying it so I came back and they were so kind and replaced it for me. My fishies are now thriving and I love coming to the store and speaking with them all. Always get asked how it’s doing which is so lovely. Attached are a before and a couple of after! HUGE difference. Still algae which is fine but a whole lot better and I’m thrilled! All thanks to Tina’s knowledge and patience with me

Great and friendly advice from Hanne. We bought Minnows, Paradise fish and a Bamboo Shrimp and all have settled-in fine.

I can only comment on the aquatics side of this shop as that was the only reason I visited but lovely staff and very helpful as I was looking for a tank filter the lady also let me open the box to see the size which was great as I already had bought a filter which was to big hence why I was there, but reasonable price and good variety of fish in all type also various plants but not a wide variety of ornaments, would definitely recommend!!
Went there to get some goldfish for our pond. There's a large car park, easy to find. Gold fish at the moment are half price I expect they are trying to clear stock before the winter. They have a good collection of tropical fish a small selection of marine. I did ask if they QT the marine but they don't...so care is needed when buying, but the fish did look ok. I Throught the pond oxygenating plants for the pond were expensive.
