   Really disappointed. We visited last night and initially thought the place had a great vibe — front of house had good energy and there was a solid selection of beers. Unfortunately, things went downhill once we ordered food. At first, the open kitchen and menu gave us high hopes, but in hindsight the menu is probably too broad, which often leads to lower-quality or frozen ingredients. My partner and I both chose steak as it was steak night, but when it arrived it looked nothing like the advertised photos and was massively overcooked (we ordered medium rare). We had no choice but to send it back — something I rarely ever do. Based on that experience, we changed our orders. My partner chose the chicken, which was better, while I went for the burger. Sadly, that was also disappointing and tasted like it had been cooked straight from frozen. To make matters worse, I’ve been up all night with stomach issues since. The pricing also felt excessive for the quality. Places like Honest Burger or Patty & Bun offer far better food at a lower price, so this felt very poor value for money. Between the cost and feeling unwell afterwards, I genuinely feel short-changed. It’s a shame to be writing this because the service itself was good. Perhaps it was an off night or due to it being quiet, but overall the food was extremely disappointing. Sorry, guys.

   We celebrated our Grandad's 90th birthday here. We had Sunday roast which was absolutely delicious. Every single member of staff was lovely,chatty, accommodating and very efficient. They put a birthday banner on the table for us with a birthday card for our Grandad. We thought that was a lovely touch. We definitely recommend this lovely place and will be coming back. Thank you :-)

   Phenomenal! Visiting Norfolk from Hull for a few days and gutted to have only visited on our last night. When I tell you I will be thinking about the food for years I mean it… honestly contemplating taking the 8 hour round trip next week just to have my Sunday lunch here. We had steak and kidney pudding, pork belly, and a pavlova to share, and I don’t have a single criticism. The young man behind the bar was lovely, really helpful and polite. Dog friendly, good beer, and a great atmosphere! A really lovely little local, that I’m sad isn’t in fact local to me!

   I had the summer seafood platter which was really great. More than enough food for one with a great variety of items. We came at around midday so the pub was relatively quite and we had no problem finding a table. They have a varied menu, a light lunches menu, and a specials board which means you're guaranteed to find something you'd like. They have a good selection of draught beers and ciders as well as all the usual wines, spirits, and soft drinks. The service was friendly and professional at all times, however, the meals did take quite a long time to arrive considering how quiet the pub was when were there and the types of dishes we ordered. I'd definitely go back.

   Fantastic food and service at this beautiful 17th century pub. We had the chicken supreme, steak & kidney suet pudding plus chicken skewers. Followed by chocolate mousse, brownie and Belgium waffle. Delicious!

   We were recommended the Banningham Crown by our host at a nearby holiday accommodation. It was a good recommendation because the food was delicious and the range of drinks was good. The service was polite but due to the pub being quite busy the service was somewhat uncoordinated at times. Would definitely visit again for food.

   Brilliant Banningham. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Friendly and warm welcome from all the staff, very clean venue with excellent covid protocols, we felt very safe. The service was spot on, this is a very well run establishment. The food was outstanding, absolutely gorgeous tasty & piping hot, I'm sure our plates didn't need washing they were so clean! The menu is extensive and it was difficult to choose, with additional daily chefs specials to boot. I would highly recommend this pub and look forward to going here again. It has a large car park, an outdoor children's play area, they allow dogs & there's plenty of room for large groups. All this set in the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Outstanding. I would also recommend booking in advance as not to be disappointed, especially with large groups. Oh & they also have live music & comedy gigs etc. Whats not to love!
