Three Cliffs Bay is bisected by a meandering river. These concrete block stepping stones are the nearest river crossing to the sea, allowing you to walk dry footed from Pennard Castle / Golf Club to Penmaen. Crucially, if you approach from the east, the stones give access to the main beach. And if you approach from the west you can walk across the back of the storm beach to Pobbles Bay. For walkers on the Wales Coast Path it means that you can stay close to the sea, without doglegging inland to Parkmill.

This 3 cliffs beach is epic. It feels quite isolated and wild. The castle overlooking the beach is worth a visit. There's space for picnics and benches to sit on. The path down is quite sandy - I'd go in flip-flops or bare foot.. The stepping stones were flooded over when I went so I swam across the river to reach the other side. But it's shallow enough to wade through the river even near the stones.

They add a scenic touch to the walk down to the beach. Crossing them feels like a small adventure. It offers a lovely view of the cliffs and the beach.

3 cliffs bay is a lovely secluded beach with caves, rock pools and an endless amount of sand. Bit of a walk from the national trust car park (1.5 miles) but well worth it. Had a lovely walk to oswick bay that took us around 3hrs to complete. Lovely beach well worth a visit.

Amazing place. You can climb and explore the surrounding area as well as have fun on the beach. It is a hard climb though, when you want to get back to the car park and the toilets are so far away! They're not on the beach.
