   My little dog passed away on the 11th November 2025 at home. I googled local pet cremetoriums, as I wanted my little fella cremated individually. Abbey pets came up, and seemed to have good reviews. I telephoned the very next morning to get some information as regards to the procedure. I took my little fella that day to the address in Rackheath. The lady that greeted me didn't seem at all compassionate about the passing of my little dog. Infact came across as very cold, and that it was just another business deal!! I was apprehensive about leaving him, but thought of the reviews, and thought everything would be ok. I told the lady I just wanted him returned in a scatter tube, as I had my own box specifically made. My partner went to collect him, and to pay the money. He returned with ashes in the scatter box, and just a receipt. No sympathy card or kind words. This was on the 14th November 2025. On the 28th November 2025 my partner bought me a rose. I thought it would be nice to put my little fellas ashes under the rose. On taking the ashes from the scatter tube I found 2 large sharp pieces of metal. I was extremely upset and distraught about finding these, as I then started to doubt if I had another dog's ashes! My little dog had never had any operations or veterinary procedures where metal would have been involved! I immediately tried to contact Abbey pets to tell them what I found, but got no reply on any of the phone lines. Considering they are advertising their selves as a 24hr business, thought this very bad. I did leave a message, and sent them an email with pictures attached of what I had found! When the gentleman did eventually get back to me, he wasn't the least bit concerned or compassionate. He was almost trying to say I'd put the metal in the towel that I had taken my little dog in. He was more concerned about his job of 35yrs, and that he couldn't have possibly made a mistake , and didn't know where these foreign objects had come from. Even though he was telling my partner of the old machinery he was using, and that some of it needed replacing. All he kept saying was I'd like to see the bits of metal, no apology, no nothing!!

   A compassionate, kind and caring couple who dealt with our sudden loss very professionally and delicately. Thankyou for seeing my girl, Edie, through her final journey and Thankyou for taking her in on a Sunday. We are so grateful. You’re a credit to what you do. She was ready to collect quickly, she is home with us now and in her final resting place. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts.

   our benny passed away yesterday morning around 5.30am my daughter phoned abbey pets and they asked us to bring him down before 8am which we did and thankfully he was back home with us by 3.30pm the same day very friendly ,kind and helpful at such a devastating time thank u so much for making a upsetting day that little bit easier

   Our rabbit of 13 years passed away at the weekend. We rang Abbey pets who couldn't have been more lovely. My 15 Yr old daughter was distraught as this was her rabbit and he had been with her most of her life. The lady put my daughter at ease and made her feel better about leaving him with them. The service was nothing but compassionate and professional. We would definitely recommend these lovely people at such a hard time of a pet passing

   Would not recommend this at all. My 13 year old dog passed of heart failure today and decided to call these on the good reviews. We called at 11pm as states 24 hours. We had woken the man up and he wasn’t happy.. he said it’s 11 pm and said we don’t do cremations at night so what did we want. Quite rude and not compassionate at all. As if our day wasn’t bad enough with our girl having heart attack in our arms at home.. we just wanted to know if we could take her there tonight.. we’re devastated and expected better. We now have to wait for the morning to find somewhere else.. I’ve had to rate 1 star purely to write a review..

   I unfortunately had to contact Abbey Pets after our Guinea Pig, Snoop passed away in the early hours of the morning. Abbey Pets answered and were very sympathetic and said they could collect our little man the next morning. They were on time for collection and bought him back home in his new, beautiful casket within just a few hours. The service has been exemplary and has made a hard time so much easier. I would recommend them to anybody in need and when the unfortunate time comes, we will use them again. Thank you so much for your wonderful service.
