    Nice place to stay staff lovely and friendly. We had dinner and it was yum and breakfast was ok.....beans more sauce than beans scrambled eggs cold and watery would say is i stayed in room 6...and to be honest it needs a refurb....loo seat was askew, wall lights and one bedside light not working and walls furniture looked well tired. Also outside could do with a source up too

    Had a meal lunchtime 2nd December with a group, just needed to take the time to leave my review.. I chose lamb three ways, Wow what a fabulous meal one of the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant, beautifully presented, superbly cooked, wish I’d taken a picture to show family and friends.. the young lady attending the table was well above excellent, nothing was too much trouble and we did confuse her at times.. made our groups Xmas dinner an event to remember, we chose the half moon after a super meal there previously as had one or two at other venues that were well below this standard.. thankyou to all who provided the experience Lynne

    We stayed for one night at the Half Moon pub. The service from the staff was great and the food was good, big portions. The drinks prices were reasonable and the rooms were good. Definitely would visit again if in the area.

    Fabulous stay in the Half Moon. Keighly and her staff are clearly very passionate about their work. Food was excellent, the room was great for the night. Comfortable bed and a great night sleep. Great value with a well cooked and fresh breakfast included

    We were here for the weekend st a friends wedding anniversary. There were around 25 of us. The service was very good, as was the food, which was prepared well, very tasty and served hot. Room was a bit tired but very clean, and we only slept in it so it was perfect really.

    Amazing food and staff are always 110 percent can't fault this place will definitely be returning iv eaten breakfast lunch and dinner here and it's amazing. If i could give a 10 star review I would. Accommodating and welcoming clean and very well manned.

    Our favourite pub. The food is always amazing and the portion sizes are always massive. Kids meal is only £10 for main and dessert and would feed an adult. On top of that, it is such a welcoming atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and responsive. We love a meal out and always try new places but we are yet to find anywhere better

    I hadn't been to The Half Moon for a few years but was so pleased that I had visited again. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and friendly. Will certainly be back very soon and would certainly recommend this lovely pub.

    Ate and stayed here with the family for the night. What a place! Food was amazing, as was the service, great beers on tap (and loads of gins!) and the family room for the stay was spot on too. All very well priced. Will definitely come again!
