ABSOLUTELY AWFUL RECEPTIONIST - Completely rude and dismissive woman. I can't believe what I've just been told. Wouldn't give me her name at all after 'dismissing me' from the awful practice that they run because I'm inbetween bedford and Wellingborough looking after my seriously ill father, even though my home address is still registered in WELLINGBOROUGH. I was specifically told by the other receptionist (not this witch) to stick with my Wellingborough doctor as I'm having ongoing treatment for my heart issues/blood pressure. So if I'm out of medication now because of this lunatic then they will all be held accountable, believe me. I will be reporting this to the patients advice and liason service of the NHS and I very much doubt she will be in her job for much longer. Vile human being needs to be disciplined by the governing bodies. Whoever she is, she has pciked on the wrong person.

I am disgusted with the way myself and my husband have been treated. We both approached the practice in July to ask about travel vaccinations, allowing plenty of time to get them done. We were more or less assured we would get them done in time. Other members of our party were given an appointment the week after they requested them. I heard nothing and chased them several times and was told we were on their list. Eventually they messaged me to say they may not have the capacity to administer them. The email was not exactly polite (bearing in mind we gave to listen to a lecture on how to treat their staff when we call the practice). We have now paid to get them done privately. The Pharmacist pointed out to us that they are expensive and could be done on NHS. We were aware we would have to pay for some. We very rarely see a Doctor, take no prescribed medication and were refused help and ignored when we asked for it. We had no response until I chased them. We are the only pensioners in our party and the only ones forced to pay. I believe it is just as important to keep up with vaccinations such as polio, tetanus and diphtheria as it is for flu and covid.

I never used to have trouble with getting into to seeing someone, but now? Good luck trying to get an appointment. A medical practice that now offers care and appointments at their convenience, not when you need it. If you don't like using their abysmal system Anima (which is only open in the morning and looks like it was created by a 10 year old), you have to wait until the following day before you can request an appointment. Then you're into the lottery as to whether you can get said appointment within the next few days (my experience so far is the following day at best). So if you're in pain etc. you'll just have to make do. No wonder A&Es are getting bombarded by non-urgent cases as the GPs and their practices are doing their level best to make it difficult to see anyone. If you try to call them, they'll just trot out the usual lines about the system not being open, and then they'll hang up on you if you request to escalate the issue. I'd make a formal complaint, but I suspect I wouldn't get any response for at least six months. Shocking.

Was contacted by the surgery to attend a follow up appointment for my daughter. After 25 minutes wait and no an acknowledgment, the doctor refused to see my 7 yr old because I complained about the wait. He literally told us to leave while standing in the corridors of the consultation room.this was the third late running appointment we’ve had in the past few weeks. I told the doctor I was running late and needed to get back to work soon due to the delay and he rather got annoyed and decided he didn’t want to attend to my child. Completely unprofessional and discriminative behaviour from Dr R Srivastava. He showed blatant disregard for the safety of my child, wasted our time and potentially put her at risk as her condition is ongoing. He’s a disgrace to the medical profession, the NHS and part of the problem in the disparity of care received by certain groups. I can now understand the terrible reviews this surgery receives. I have never experienced a ‘doctor’ act so poorly. Clearly his decision to work in that profession is nothing to do with actually caring for patients and he doesn’t care about putting people’s health at risk.

Brilliant! Cancelling an appointment again —what a lovely surprise not the first time. Because, you know, it’s not like dealing with health issues is stressful enough. Let’s throw in a bit of lost wages too, just for fun. But hey, at least the NHS still gets their cut from my pay, right? Might as well save their time and just ask Google next time as its only gets important when its to late!

Cant fault this surgery, I've been with them many years and always had a lot of support, even as a teenager when my health anxiety was at sky high due to an undiagnosed condition, i was always treated with kindness and respect and signposted to the most suitable clinician, all this help finally meant i got an answer to my years of symptoms, which even though it means many years to come of these symptoms, the diagnosis has put my anxiety completely to rest knowing there's a reason for my symptoms, so thank you. The nurses and GP's are fantastic. But a special thank you to the lovely admin and reception team, i see many reviews stating they have spoken to someone or people in the team that are rude and i really really cant believe this. They go above and beyond, i work at a gp surgery myself out of wellingborough which means getting a face to face appointment is very difficult for me, they always manage to get me a telephone appointment to help with this issue, rarely will i have to call back and try again for an appointment, but if i do, i do, the public needs to understand the admin/reception team aren't withholding appointments, the NHS is under a lot of strain, and with this, appointments are limited, meaning once they are gone, they are gone, please understand this before you base your review solely on appointment availability, it isnt the surgerys fault, and certainly isnt the admin teams fault, treat them with kindness and respect and they will do all they can to help you. They are human. Anyway.. 5/5 stars from me, don't let any bad reviews dampen your spirits, you cant please everyone.

UPDATE: You can see a doctor same day if you have a flu. With a cancer, you have to wait months! This place is becoming funeral directors. After the merge, this place been going dogs. I found out this morning, it has nearly reached the bottom. I'm almost speechless after talking to very rude member of staff this morning. The list of issues is longer. Reviews say it all propably. Shame doctor Khan must take part in all this. I feel sorry for you doctor.

I went to see a Dr on the 28th December after misunderstanding a prior appointment on the 27th because I was having a mini stroke! I thought I was having sinus issues, I couldn't open my left eye fully or hear from my left ear, I had woken up on 27th December and my left arm was numb and my leg and I couldn't move, I thought it was a resul of the flu I was suffering with at the time, but was concerned about my eye and ear so booked the appointment after it didn't improve. To add the Dr I saw on the 28th hasnt updated my patient record when I checked on my file... she sent me away and said I had a virus, my father mum and other family are fuming, and are telling me to put in a complaint to the practice manager at the surgery and to book another appointment to get this put on record and are concerned it wasn't picked up. Have told me every time I suffer any symptoms to record and photograph from now on. I'm confused because whenever I have seen staff before I have been treated or advised, my children always treated and advised, I have never experienced to my knowledge this type of negligence before. And im lucky to have survived, apart from being off balance this week, and having tingling sensations in my arm hands and foot and feeling dizzy and faint (which I all put down to the virus I've had for 25 days prior) I'm not dead. My daughters love me and need me in their lives, my family love me.

I was with Castlefields practice before thy merged. No problems. Since they merged I have tried to get three appointments to no avail. You either can’t get an answer or no return call or a long delay in returning the call. Am seriously considering changing to a different practice.

This is a fantastic surgery, very friendly staff from the receptionists to the clinicians. The practice nurses and nurse practitioners are the best, angel walking on earth. Doctors are very thorough and knowledgeable, always repeat what the patients say to be absolutely sure they have heard correctly. Totally recommend to any new patients.
