My experiences with KER have been positive and proactive, especially when it comes to meeting the health needs of myself and my family. However, I would suggest that one or two staff members be more mindful of their reception, as their manner could sometimes come across as dismissive. I observed this during one of my visits, and it was quite embarrassing to witness.

Struggle to ever get an appointment, over the last 3 years I have not been seen. This incudes referrals to the GP from hospital or 111. IF you do get seen its one health issue per appointment so at their current performance I would be waiting 15 years to have my current issues sorted. Avoid.

Review for Dr. Rana Elagawany – King Edward Road Surgery After seven long months of ongoing health issues, I finally had the opportunity to be seen by Dr. Rana Elagawany — and what a breath of fresh air she was. From the moment the consultation began, she was calm, kind, and genuinely caring. She took the time to really listen, without rushing me or making me feel like just another appointment on the list. Dr. Elagawany reminded me so much of Dr. Kausar — another compassionate and understanding doctor I’ve trusted in the past. It’s rare to come across a GP who makes you feel truly heard and supported, and Dr. Rana did exactly that. She is an absolute asset to King Edward Road Surgery. Thank you, Dr. Rana, for your empathy, professionalism, and exceptional care. You are absolutely amazing.

my recent visit to my GP a complete nightmare at the hands of the reception staff (if I could give no stars I would). I recently received a private prescription through a private consultation for my health concerns since most of the local pharmacies DO NOT accept private prescriptions I went to my NHS GP with the prescription and latest surgery notes and treatment I received so that this can be added to my record. I asked for an NHS prescription to be made available and was advised this will take 48hrs process. After 48hrs I visited my pharmacy which is listed with them to pick up the medicine to be told that the prescription has not been released by the surgery. Yet again I had to visit my surgery to request an explanation as to why the prescription has not been released as calling them does not connect to reception the call cuts off. I was advised by the same staff member it now takes 72hrs as this is a private prescription as if she wasn't aware from the first visit this was not a private prescription!!! staff advised that the doctor will sign it by 3pm but I requested that once signed that they release it also. this staff member who was leading in the conversation was condescending in her tone and showed hand gestures and eyes rolling to suggest that I was receiving free medicines why an assumption?? I am not below 16 or over 60 years of age to receive such benefits. However her next body language said it all when she raised her hand in the air and said oh..!! you mean you came through the air/plane...!!! and her face all of a sudden changed with a false smile... ok will then put a note to release the prescription once it's signed. why do I need to explain to all 3 members? why was I subjected to discrimination and racist behaviour?

They reduced my meds to 14 pills a month and when they ran out on the 1st of April system one would not let me order any pills till the 3rd of April and they wouldn't be ready till the 6th of August on a Sunday so l have had no meds since the 1st of April ie blood pressure meds and gout medication plus asthma medication!!!! I put a complaint in about this and nothing was done about it so lm no longer ordering 14 pills a month l will do without, if someone floated over here on a boat they would get all the medicines for nothing, lve worked all my life and not only have to put up with a government treating me like crap now it's a doctor joining in! I've been waiting till the 21 of May to order my inhaler and now it's the 21of May its saysthat l have to wait till the 12th of June so l now have no inhaler till 12 of June!!! On the 23rd of May l contacted nhs and 111 and they gave me an emergency prescription so l could get an inhaler no thanks to King Edward surgery moving my inhaler to June leaving me with no medication for a month, its a waste of time putting in a complaint with this surgery as they just pay no notice!!!! Thank you lots 111 emergency service

I’ve been with this surgery since I was born along with rest of my family. They are excellent surgery and touchwood never had any problems with getting appointments. My daughter currently recovering from sepsis and the GP she’s been seeing is outstanding going above and beyond.

It is imposibble to see the doctor. I do not know if any doctor works at KERS.I believe they use their budget for the online services; Livi and doctorlink etc. At the reseption you can see, if you abuse the staff ...... When you call the surgery listen the introduction, do not take on the stuff. The surgery voice should be "I am here to help, make you and loved one better." Well I feel abused by my GP each visit I make when I listen their angry taped voice and hateful face when I see at their ground. They all let me suffer my ongoing health problems. 2,5 years no help, I went to a private doctor need my medicines to write but still no help. They told my doctor is going to call me on Saturday. No call, no sorry. The next door surgery called The Abington Surgery looks more friendly. Do not make the same mistake I made, be aware and be away..

Appalling service. If I could leave a minus 5 stars, I would. Impossible to get a face to face appointment. My grandson is supposed to have fortnightly calls from his doctor but the doctor either rings at a different time to that arranged (he can't take calls at work) or doesn't ring at all. He should have been able to order more meds when he spoke to the doctor but obviously couldn't, so he ran out. He couldn't get through to the surgery for ages and when he eventually did, they said they had no record of him having that medication? How can they have no record of him having medication he has been taking since October? Someone's not doing their job properly. He had to argue with them about it and in the end they prescribed one weeks worth. Nobody should have to battle to get a medication they have been prescribed. He's now only got two days worth left so has been ringing the surgery but nobody is answering. His medication is essential. Someone will end up dying if they don't sort themselves out. Considering the number of negative reviews they have, I think it's time to start making formal complaints.

This used to be a pretty decent doctors surgery. Now it is abysmal. Rude reception staff making clinical decisions and putting patients lives at risk. Hospital notes, letters regularly lost or not actioned. I wouldn't be surprised if I see a news story at some point in the future about them causing a patients death.

Saw a Dr Enyi today for the first time. She was amazing because she was so thorough when assessing my problem. She was empathetic, attentive with what I had to say and took the time to explain the best course of action for me. Such a lovely and caring doctor. An asset to King Edward road surgery ! King Edward road surgery in general, has been a great surgery so far - the receptionists are always cheery and helpful. I’ve been with the surgery for about 18 years & I’ve never had any issues so far.
