Great value for a dinner, bed and breakfast stay. Room was comfy and the menu was inviting and tasty. Hotel grounds were relaxing and pleasant. Spa was absolutely rammed with people which was a little disappointing.

The staff and welcoming, and exceptionally keen to assist in any way they can to make the stay for you comfortable. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, has a raging log fire, and the rooms (suite) are spacious and contemporary. Robes, slippers, and an array of lovely wash products are out on arrival. Also special Christmas gifts for my child to include her name on Cadburies chocolate bar which was a lovely touch. There is a spa and swimming pool which is beautiful, with a range of treatments avalible. The food is exceptional, a variety of dishes, on both occasions of having beef, two different cuts both were cooked to perfection. Poached eggs in the morning, again cooked perfectly. Some really excellent chefs working behind the scenes. All in all, I would come here again, it is a warm and welcoming hotel with many special extras.

The rooms are great but couldn't for the life of me figure out the heating. Beds are really comfy and has everything you need. Jake in the bar was absolutely brilliant, couldn't of been any more attentive. The food downstairs was beautiful. Tried new things and didn't regret it. Room service was ok, food was warm but the pizza I'm sure was a oven pizza and wasn't the best but overall I'm looking forward to staying here again.

Fabulous Spa day enjoying the pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Good clean facilities all mid sized. Excellent changing facilities. Lovely surroundings with places to relax and read around the pool. Landscaped gardens for the warmer weather. Complimentary hot and cold drinks offered as you need. Lovely public areas throughout the hotel, wood fires. The stand out was the incredible service from every member of staff. Friendly happy people with relaxed customers makes for a calm cheerful atmosphere. Lunch in the restaurant was cooked with love and served beautifully by Flavia & Lydia. Great treatments with Chloe & Emily. Well done to the whole team, I don’t think that you realise how good you are. Will we booking again? - Yes without question

It was a wonderful stay with our children as a treat. My husband and I had a lovely massage. The kids adored the pool. We sat by the open fire for hours and hours just taking in the ambience. The family room we had was lovely. Very clean and spacious. We all slept really well. We left feeling refreshed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely return. The only downside was we missed having some hash browns for breakfast!

My wife stayed here with her friend for a belated birthday treat. They had a package deal which included meals, treatments and use of the spa. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Harry deserves a special mention for going above and beyond helping her with her wing mirror after a slight accident involving a pillar in the local shopping car park!

A nice stay in a very handily located hotel. The room (225) is a bit dated, but was clean. The temperature control for the air conditioning in the room would not work, it had to be adjusted by reception (who were exceptionally good). Service at dinner on Friday was good and so was the food. At breakfast on both days the food was good but the service was slow, our breakfast took 2 hours... The Spa was exceptionally busy on the Saturday afternoon, leaving us nowhere to sit - whilst the facilities are good and we could use the pool it was very busy. Massages were fantastic in the Spa

Conned on afternoon tea. Booked the afternoon tea for myself and friend for their birthday. On the website it says the price is £30. We enjoyed the food and service itself, but when it came to pay, our bill was £60. I questioned why it was double and the waitress said it was pp for the AT. On the website and menu there is nowhere it states its per person. No * used or small print, and was not explained when booked/on arrival and being seated. I felt this was incredibly unfair as other places I have had AT, A single price is normally a portion size 2-4 people when pp isn't mentioned. The waitress just repeatedly stated nothing they could do so I paid. ( side note, £60 for a small selection on sandwiches and cakes is outrageous. ) I complained to the manager they said they had little input in on the writing of the website and they would contact me soon with a resolution, its been a over week and feel like they're just hoping to sweep me under the carpet. I feel humiliated and ripped off. Which is a shame as it should have been a birthday treat. Do not recommend the AT, nor the restaurant in future after this experience.

Such a lovely place to visit and stay, I've visited twice on a works sale conference and stayed the night and the service is great. Rooms are big and spacious. I've stayed in a suite and standard room and both are fab. All rooms come with a kettle, coffee maker and fridge and the self serve milk and filtered water is a great addition. Huge beds and super soft pillows! Those rooms close to the motorway and/or lifts will hear the noise of course but you can't control traffic or some people! Staff are great and so helpful and welcoming. The gym is great and busy in the mornings. Highly recommend this place for work or just leisure.

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful all with smiles. Rooms were clean and comfy, loved the robes and slippers. Had a massage and it was amazing, best massage I've had. Went with my mum fir a treat. Food is quite expensive so didn't try that unfortunately. Had a lovely relaxing one night stay, would definitely go again. Loved that you could get the milk yourself to make a tea in your room, please don't ever get rid of that.
