I recently stayed at this hotel for a business trip. The room was clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was good. However, I was very disappointed with the service. Upon check-in, we decided to have a drink at the bar and asked for a portion of chips. Due to a wedding event taking place, the bar staff prioritised the event and we were left standing for a long time without being acknowledged. When we tried to order the chips, we were told that there weren’t enough staff to put orders through the kitchen and that it would take too long to turn on the fryer. After traveling for hours, we were hoping to relax and have a simple snack, but we were forced to walk across the road to a pub just to eat. To make matters worse, the manager was rude and made it feel as though we were causing a problem by asking for such a basic request. It’s a shame because the pub across the road was lovely, but the hotel’s inability to accommodate us really spoiled our stay. Overall, the room and breakfast were good, but the poor service and unaccommodating staff made this a very disappointing experience.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, such lovely staff, I stayed for 3 nights in room 211 and the view over the field was stunning, early morning wakes and seeing sheep grazing was so pretty. There was no noise once inside the room and although there was a function on one night I was there.. I still heard nothing! Was wonderful! The room was clean, bed super comfy, the water pressure wasn’t too strong but it was fine it didn’t go hot or cold it stayed a perfect temperature. The breakfast was nice, lots of variety. I also had dinner, and the ribeye steak was cooked exactly how I like it (rare!) they didn’t give me a steak knife but the knife on the table cut through it like butter, so I was impressed. The staff were so friendly, I was alone on my first stay in a hotel alone and they were very kind and eased my anxiety which was so kind. They were also happy to help with any queries or requests. The location is very secluded and quiet, perfect for a mini break if you need to get out of a city! I will definitely be back again in the new year and I look forward to another great stay. I’ve highly recommended this hotel to family and friends as a lot travel often so I look forward to their thoughts! Thank you for a lovely stay, see you all soon!:) Keep up the great work.

We had our wedding weekend at Woughton House Hotel, we had almost all the rooms booked for the occasion, we took over the hotel and our guests had approx 5 meals provided by the hotel. I am going to write the review that I was looking for: The team: The staff at the hotel are delightful, they all want to do the best and are very responsive and warm. Nothing was too much, things were clearly communicated during the event itself. We booked in October and we did have over 3 different events staff working with us which was difficult, but over the last 5 months things massively improved when we worked with Matthew. Matthew deserves a special shout as the events manager, f and b manger and all round excellent egg. Matthew was amazing, he worked with us our vision, made things happen, kept an eye on everything but also gave a 100 percent to making this event work. He personally went over and above, and was as invested in our wedding as we were. We weren't the simplest of weddings as we had so many elements. We were very lucky to have him working with us and the hotel is very lucky to have him. He knows what he is doing and in addition to making the event run smoothly, he also brought humour and worked really hard so we had an excellent day (he even made a special wrestling style announcement - he's very talented). Thank you for being a joy to work with. The venue: this venue has an instant warmth and cosiness about it. A place where you feel like you're stepping into a home away from home. It's got some charm and people felt like they belonged there. It is an old building so there are a few things that are a little rough between the edges (such as the occasional water pressure or rooms being warm) but nothing that the team won't help with. Our guests complimented how nice it was and we had 100 guests and it felt like the perfect size. The food: the food was really good. 90 percent of the food was great, it wasn't too heavy, beautifully seasoned, potatoes were crispy. Breakfast for the guests was great and the quality of the food was fresh. We only had one dish that let us down, and the hotel took that feedback on graciously. We had a mix of wonderful and wacky things taking place and the team were always accommodating, finding solutions and working with us to create a wonderful day. All to say thank you and especially to Matthew for helping us to create a beautiful weekend that has formed special memories for us and our guests and making weekend go more wonderfully and smoothly than we could have imagined. Our guests and ourselves had the most joy filled occasion. If you are considering using the venue for your wedding day and if Matthew is there you'll be in good hands.

Hotel itself was lovely, didn't have breakfast or eat in the restraunt. But the bar staff were really friendly if a little slow in drink preparation. Front of house were all really professional and helpful. Room was good, however was really hot throughout the night which meant we struggled to sleep.

My husband and I recently had our wedding here, and honestly it could not have been more perfect! The grounds are stunning and peaceful. The small Georgian manor itself is picturesque and intimate. However, what makes Woughton House really homely is their polite and friendly staff. Matthew, in particular, was absolutely brilliant in ensuring we had the best day! He went above and beyond, even getting one of our guests extra lamb chops from the kitchen when it had run out at the buffet station. Compliments also to the chef, as all our guests thoroughly enjoyed their food, especially the chicken! If there’s only one thing the hotel could do for future bride and grooms, it would be to ensure room service is available and that breakfast can still be served after 10am to the newlyweds. Overall, a very positive experience and I’m so pleased we chose this as our venue.

Parked up to make a booking enquiry and car was approached within seconds to inform me that this was private property. Will not be returning. Appalling service

Walked in to have a look around to see if me and my girlfriend might stay. Within seconds a member of staff said it was private property and we had to leave. This is despite the place being empty. Obviously not the best way to run a business if your idea of dealing with potential customers is to tell them to leave.

We booked this hotel as part of a two night package which included a visit to Bletchley Park and were not disappointed. From the friendly welcome on arrival, a lovely large comfortable bedroom, great breakfast choices and friendly and efficient service. The staff on reception, Charlotte and Lawrence were extremely helpful throughout our stay, providing information and support with our various requests. We can't forget to mention Antonio who was so helpful and professional at all times. We hope to return in the future, meanwhile we have recommended this hotel to family and friends.

Great staff, warmly welcomed and we received great service. Food was excellent with a good choice on offer. Only downside was our bed - two divans which didnt appear to be attached, just pushed together and covered with bedding. Funny but uncomfortable when you begin to slip in between the beds! Nevertheless it didn't detract from a lovely break away.

Very comfortable beds and a great breakfast. Very busy weekend when we were there and noisy at night with a lads party in a room upstairs, a hen party and several birthday parties going on. Bit too busy for me but the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Evening meal was average. Overcooked risotto and smoked haddock saved by a well cooked egg.
