Refusing to give my holding deposit back as failed the checks for an application for a flat but legally get my holding deposit back but they are ignoring me and refusing!! My deposit is meant to be kept in a government approved scheme! Am seeking legal advice and will not leave this alone! SCAM!
This company is a scam. I was asked to pay a holding deposit while referencing is done. While the credit checks and reference was going on they said I had a CCJ which was not true. They lied about it that it wasn't CCJ but PDT and that is what is called in Scotland. I called Sherrif Court in Edinburgh to confirm it and they said they don't have such information. They further referred me to Registry Trust in England who also confirmed that they don't have such information about me. At the end of the reference and checks Lettings Hub who did the reference and checks said Greatlets the estate agent said they are not continuing with my application. I asked them to refund my holding deposit and they said they can't refund my deposit. It is clearly stated on their website that the holding deposit is refundable. This company is a scam. Beware!!
Rude and unprofessional. Dimwits making money through fees. There's a fee for everything in their site. Have a look and find a professional company instead. Updated: Answer to your ignorant answer. I did contact you. You were rude prcks about everything, refused to contact me, kept all the money. Google yourselves. You have a lot of reviews with the same scenario. It's happened a lot.
I would like to Greatlets Ltd, they helped me find a tenant for my apartment in record time. The tenant was fully referenced, met my criteria and Greatlets took care of all the paperwork as well as the deposit. The staff were friendly and experienced and kept me informed throughout the process. Thanks again.
Stayed in one of the properties near town centre for almost 9 months. Overall ok experience. One of the agents/manager needs to improve service quality and behaviour as he was not helpful during initial months of my stay. Check out fee was high. Would recommend only when no other alternative!!
