Well worth a visit. Donation asked for parking. Cottage very interesting and a coffee van serving in the summer. The gardens may not be open if a course is on at the manor house. You have to pay for the walk round the reserve but there are two hides and it is a little oasis of quiet in the busy summer.
A lovely place to visit. The cottage is very interesting. We took the wildlife boat tour too. The guide was very knowledgeable.
A tranquil walk around the reserve enjoying nature at its finest great to see close up the Swallowtail butterfly. Free parking a nice surprise too.

1st class place,river,long walks,wooded area,marvellous gardens and houe,tea wagon,info centre,knowledgable staff,wonderful wildlife,especially birdlife.
Always a pleasure to have a walk around here. The scenery is nice and you should see plenty of wildlife. The sunsets are particularly nice if you get the weather for it

Great reserve, we found the facilities not open in late October. But great autumnal colours
Although I have lived near by I visited for the first time this weekend. The garden by the house us lovely, quiet, peaceful with views over the field to a mill and the water. Toad Cottage is sweet and a reminder of how live used to be. I finished the day with a walk around the secret garden. We were lucky to have it to ourselves. We sat on one of the frequent benches and just listened to the birds and breeze in the trees. I will curtained go again.
One of my favourite moorings on the Norfolk Broads, How Hill is alongside the picturesque River Ant. With excellent mooring facilities, a visit to the nature trail (now dog friendly) is a must. The secret gardens are a riot of colour when the rhododendrons and azaleas are in flower and there is now a cafe to enjoy some refreshments in lovely surroundings. Visit the eel catchers cottage for an insight in a bygone way of life and watch the sun set behind the nearby Turf Fen Mill on the opposite side of the river. What's not to like?
