Moored here twice during our broads boat trip. Lovely spot, reasonably mooring fee, water available amd a lovely spot for a walk and for the kids to paddle a canoe around and explore. Some god pubs nearby for food and drink and a dark sky viewing platform for stargazing!
This is our first time on the broads and there are so many beautiful and peaceful places to see, we managed to get here and moored up over night, the part we stayed was chargeable and we didn't know about mud mooring much then. A little walk up small hill took us to a pop up coffee shop with delicious cakes and drinks, very good selection. You can walk into the village about a mile, hubby did I couldn't manage it, there is a star gazing area with a large rope netting to lie back on a look up, very good
We visited the Broad for some water fun. It's a fantastic place to visit, you can hire canoe's at an hourly rate with all the equipment included. There's a gorgeous drinks and snack shack at the top of the hill which is fantastic and it's a 20min or less walk back to the carpark for the toilets.
Camped here for 1 night with 3 children. Easy to find the friendly ranger to check in. Lovely area. Spotless porta loos. Kids enjoyed the Hungry Otter snacks whilst I packed the tent away. Would definitely recommend for no frills, back to nature camping.
Really enjoyed our first stay on the camp grounds. Luckily our first night was lovely and quiet. The chemical toilets were lovely and clean and the drinking tap was easy to find. The ground was secure with gates and padlocks. Must check out the Hungry Otter for delicious coffee and cakes. Salhouse broad is small but special.
Knocked off 3 stars because it's now a pay and display car park. I can see the broads and Norfolk becoming like the rest of the UK, being charged for parking everywhere to enjoy something that was free and still should be free for everyone.
Really peaceful place to visit. We were on our boat holiday and moored up for the night. Short walk from the broad to the Fur and Feather pub which is a lovely gastropub. If on a boating holiday, would recommend this for a stop point.
A, good sized pay and display car park, followed by a ten minute walk down an easy path. Lots of places to launch paddleboards etc, just don't use the jetty or you'll get told off for not having insurance.....! Some great paddleboarding available to give you an insight into the Broads. I think their is a snack shack there too but I didn't visit it.
One of the prettiest natural Broads, not much going on but that's the point. Just you and the ducks. Reasonable number of stern to moorings and overflow moorings outside if busy. Water but not power. Coffee stall up by the campsite, a bit of a walk to the nearest shops but along pleasant lanes.
