Sadly I find our pharmacy very lacking. It has taken in excess of 10 days to fulfill my repeat prescription, leaving me without pain medication, until I threatened to make a complaint. Suddenly, the pharmacist produced half of my script from an incomplete pack. The blame? Their delivery system. Too small, mismanaged and woefully inadequate. Only plus side was the way the assistant tried to help, rather than the dismissive attitude of the pharmasist.

Whoever the pharmacist is, awful attitude, dismissive, presumes everyone who comes in for a prescription is a patient @ Saxons. (Becky - she was a gem to deal with and very helpful) but I will never use this pharmacy again.

I’ve never felt compelled to write a review like this before, but the treatment my mother received at Wells Pharmacy in Brixworth was genuinely disgraceful and I believe people need to be warned. My mum is undergoing breast cancer treatment and needed a prescription filled, a basic hormone medication that supports her recovery from cancer. She was initially told the pharmacy didn’t have it in stock, but that it could be ordered in. So she went away, spoke with her GP, and returned. Then they told her the name of the medication wasn’t written on the β€œtop line” of the prescription, so they wouldn’t fill it. She went back to the GP and tried again. And again. And again. Also needing to go to her radiotherapy daily appointments and then having this stress to deal with. The receptionist at Saxon Spires Brixworth was also confused as to why they were being so unnecessarily difficult. Over the course of five separate trips between the GP and the pharmacy, my mum, a woman already going through the emotional and physical toll of cancer, was met with constant dismissals, nitpicking, and refusals for very small reasons, without a clear answer. Eventually, she had no choice but to go to a different pharmacy, who had absolutely no issue filling the exact same prescription and ordered it in the same day. What’s worse than the administrative runaround was the actual behaviour of the staff. Two women- one younger and seemingly new, the other older disgruntled lady with red hair and glasses, were rude, dismissive, and outright cruel. They laughed at my mother and made inappropriate remarks. The older lady said β€œyou deal with her” to the younger girl and both laughed and walked away, leaving a queue of people, and my mum, waiting. On top of this- my mother was denied access to a prescribed gel for her radiotherapy-affected skin, simply because they refused to engage. The experience was very distressing as she was unable to have any gel or medication and had to skip many days due to these pharmacists behaviour. I don't understand why people need to be so cruel and enjoy this. This is not just poor customer service, this is a total failure of duty of care. Pharmacies are part of the healthcare system, and this kind of treatment towards someone going through cancer is completely unacceptable. After seeing that others have left similar reviews, the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) should be made aware of these staff members. Patients, especially vulnerable ones, deserve to be treated with dignity, compassion, and basic human decency. What we experienced was the opposite. I hope this serves as a warning to others- and that serious changes are made at this pharmacy.

Poor experience. One of the staff members is rather rude (the attitude of the staff has been mentioned in previous reviews). Have had much better experiences at other pharmacies. Can appreciate it is a difficult job but requiring medication is hardly a cheerful experience for patients and it would help to be greeted with a more supportive environment.

Really rude staff and slow service. I've never known a pharmacy take so long to get a prescription ready. One of the members of staff looks down at you every time you go in, clearly loving her job.

Never answer phone calls, never have stock of basic items and prescriptions take forever where as I can get them delivered online next day. Try to support local but they must not want the business

Well Pharmacy is an invaluable asset to Brixworth and the surrounding area. The pharmacist and all the colleagues are always ready with invaluable advice when consulted, in a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere. Gratitude to them all. May this Pharmacy go from strength to strength in the heart of the village.

The male pharmacist here is absolutely wonderful and so kind and helpful. I have found one member of staff to be rather abrupt.

Poorly customer service. Every time I go to collect monthly prescriptions i have to wait a bit till they find it. Today i went to collect the items aftrer receiving text msg informing items ready for collection..i have been given only one item out of 5. When i questioned about rest i have been told they are still out of stock and asked to comeback tomorrow with a bit of attitude which made me very uncomfortable . By then few people were queuing .wish they are more orgonised. Would not recommend :(

Having had to use them for the last 7 yrs they are very poor. Would go elsewhere but contract with local doctor. Keep saying can't get some medications, poor service attitude. Some medication comes in drips and drabs so have to keep going back. Suggest you avoid.
