Place was empty. Format has not changed in many years so it should work. Nobody seems to support the local leisure industry in this whole town anymore.
We went to the Retro bar to watch a friends band play. The bar staff were lovely, a little pricey for drinks I'd say....for a bottle of beer and a pint of coke was £8.60. I went into the ladies toilets, they were clean but a little dated...they still had everything you need including mirrors for days! But it was quiet as well as it was still early. I may just have to come back when it's a bit busier to get the Retro Bar atmosphere and buzz.
This bar has been up and coming since the new management, it's all you could want from a brilliant retro bar.. and gr8 door staff..
Bouncers have serious personality issues from the moment we walked in as a couple they had a attitude and made a issue out of nothing….Avoid
Always end up here on a night out. Great music that everyone knows and can have a dance too. And the fish bowl cocktails are lush!
Love this place. Always busy and always great tunes. They also have good offers on drinks! Well worth a visit.
