Extremely disappointing customer service I had a very upsetting experience at this Sports Direct branch. The day before, I had purchased a pair of shoes, but the cashier forgot to remove the security tag. When I left the store, security emptied my entire bag to find it. In the rush (I was the last customer), the receipt must have fallen on the floor without me noticing. The shoes didn’t fit, so I came back the following day with the shoe, the box, the label, the bag, and explained the situation. I spoke to someone who introduced himself as a manager, “mitch,” and the way he treated me was shocking. He was openly condescending, dismissive, and rude; all in front of my children. He looked down on me, spoke to me in a degrading tone, and made the whole situation feel deeply humiliating. I had to open my banking app to prove the purchase. He first refused to accept it and accused me of showing a screenshot. He even insisted on seeing my other transactions, which was extremely invasive. Only when I covered my screen and showed him live that it wasn’t a screenshot did he accept it. Even then, he refused to serve me and sent me upstairs, despite clearly being able to process the exchange himself. Upstairs, I was helped by a young lady named Sruthi, who was the complete opposite. She was calm, polite, empathetic, and professional. She handled the exchange with no issue and genuinely tried to make the situation better. Her attitude is what customer service should be. Unfortunately, the behaviour of the first staff member ruined the entire experience. No customer should ever feel belittled or spoken to in that way and certainly not made to feel as though their skin colour influences how they are treated. If this is how some staff choose to behave, they should not be representing your brand. Thanks to Sruthi for her kindness, but I will not be shopping with Sports Direct again.

I visited your store yesterday evening around 7–7:30 pm with my 9-month-old baby. Unfortunately, my experience at the cashier was disappointing. The lady at the till did not make eye contact, smile, or even greet me - she simply processed the bill and handed it back. This was the first time I’ve experienced something like this in the UK. My baby even smiled at her, but she ignored us completely, which felt very unfriendly. I’ve been a regular customer, shopping here many times every month, but this interaction made me feel like a stranger and left me detached from my shopping experience. Thank you for the service so far, but this experience was upsetting.

Sarcasm is all part of their service. I had to return an item to this Sports Direct store in the Milton Keynes shopping centre. The item was a little over the return date, and the lady who served me was very helpful. Then it happened, someone who worked there, maybe a manager or line manager standing behind the person serving me had to open her mouth. I was handed some till paperwork, and I was not sure if they had refunded my card, or given me a credit note. So I politely asked the woman serving me if it had been refunded to my card. I looked at the receipt and saw there was a credit note attached to the top. I asked could I spend it in the store, and then miss sarcasm from behind the person serving me piped up with “no you frame it”. Yes, she made me feel stupid, yes, I had my son standing next to me, and yes as a father I felt even more embarrassed. But what did miss sarcasm who works for Sports Direct care. She had probably made herself look good in front of her associates, but some people do not take kindly to that sort of treatment, especially when serving customers who spend their hard earned money at these type of stores. I realise now It was a dumb question from me about the credit note, but I had a lot on my mind at the time, but sarcasm from people serving customers is a no go. Would I shop there again due to this, no. Did the woman in question really care about her words to customers, probably not. This might seem like a silly upset, but these type of stupid comments can really get at paying customers. If you have staff at front of house, make sure they are trained well, and try to tell them to keep their stupid comments to themselves.

The new store is brilliant, each floor is very nicely laid out and clear for you to see all of the different products they have on offer. As a darts fan I was very happy to see the darts area had moved and had quite a few more products on display than the last time I visited. They also have a large section where they have their own "GAME" store, featuring a range of video games, LEGO and other collectible products. Service from staff members at the tills is always good. One of the best looking Sports Direct stores that I have seen. You know what you get with Sports Direct but I would recommend you visit this store and have a look around each floor because they have a massive range of products in this store.

I was helped by Adam and Alfie and I can say they should be fired as they tried to take me into the warehouse and hold me hostage. Its fine though now, we are all in a committed relationship together.
