   Sadly really disappointed with my experience this morning. Came in to look at running shoes. I’ve got a couple of shoes at home however was after some advice on whether they were the right choice as I was conscious of having someone check the fit and perhaps suggest any alternatives in store that I was more than willing to purchase there and then. While I appreciate you need to book the gait analysis, the shop was completely empty and the gentleman serving me didn’t offer this. He didn’t smile once or offer for me to try on any the shoes to establish what may suit me. When I pointed at a couple of options on the wall to establish if they may be right for me, I was told quite bluntly ‘all of the shoes on the wall are good running shoes’. I wasn’t asked how often I ran, what sort of fit I like etc. I’d travelled 1hr 10 with a 6 month old to go there after a friend recommended I visit. I firmly believe when you’re shopping for running trainers or trainers for any sport, the customer service you receive can make or break your shopping experience- today sadly it didn’t deliver and I won’t be returning.

   Was not impressed when they said they charge £15 for a gait analysis if no shoe is purchased. Should be a value added service to help customers buy a shoe and entice them, not to be put under pressure. Store was not busy. Will buy from Up&Running instead - free analysis

   Visited Runners Need in MK for an appointment with Jerry for some advice on running shoes after having recently been treated for a foot problem. He was incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable and worked really hard to help me find the most suitable shoes- definitely will be back - as not a service you could possibly get from an online shop.    I've visited Runners Need in Milton Keynes few times in the past week, and I have to say, their customer service is exceptional. John, in particular, has been incredibly helpful and friendly on each occasion. The first time I went in, I needed to exchange a pair of shoes that weren't quite right. John made the process seamless and hassle-free, quickly finding a suitable replacement pair that fit perfectly. Unbelievably, I had to return again about an hour later to exchange the second pair, which also weren't quite right. Even with this repeated back-and-forth, John remained patient, understanding, and incredibly helpful, making the entire experience stress-free. A big thank you to John for making my (admittedly complicated) shopping experiences stress free.

   Really helpful. I went into runners need in search of some advice on which running shoes i should get. My running style was assessed on the treadmill and I was recommended a selection of shoes, which I then tried on. Once I had selected my favourite shoes, I was allowed to give them a go on the treadmill before purchasing, which was great. The shoes have been looking and performing great.

   A tiny section within the larger Cotswold store and as such has a small selection of just about everything. Items (especially shoes) can also be found much cheaper online. Milton Keynes deserves a better running 'shop' than this.
