We booked for Christmas day dinner we said one person used a walking frame and was serpriced when they showed us to our table what was up two steps not on level ground the starter was ok took a long time to clear table then we had to cue for a long time to get our dinner from the carvery as there was only one person cutting the meat and the roast potatoes was dried up and hard so had to ask for better roast potatoes the veg was only worm so time you sat down to eat it was cold the pudding two of us had apple pie and custard what wasn't cooked underneath properly sent it back and the same piece came back with more custard but still not cooked Sent back 3times and the same 2 piece's came back just with more custard so we said no thank you so there was two many people there and not enough staff

We came here and it was empty. We were told 25 minutes wait for the food after 50 minutes some came out, the kids were still waiting. The food was stone cold and 10 minutes later they bought some more chips to the table. The garlic bread was so burnt it was black and solid, they then changed this and bought one out that was raw in the middle. Finished with 2 of our party throwing up afterwards. This place used to be really nice but definitely will not be returning!

Service was great, one of the party ordered a burger so not a carvery but all of us are food whilst he was sat there waiting for over 30 minutes for his burger. We all felt bad and asked 2 times where their order was and they kept saying it’s coming. For myself I had the carvery, it was tasty, meat was perfect and the veg was lovely!

Nice food, good portion size, friendly staff and atmosphere. Only thing I didn’t like is another customer brought their dog in at lunchtime but that’s just me I personally don’t like animals around when I’m eating.

I went to the Haywain with a group of friends. The place is tired and needs a spruce up, but the service and food more than made up for that. We were served by Katie, who was both friendly and helpful. We had carveries and pizzas. Katie checked back to make sure everything was ok with our food and also offered us the dessert menu whilst she was clearing the plates. All in all a positive experience.

All five of our starters, mains and desserts arrived at the same time- all looked great and tasted delicious. The vegetarian pizza mains were exceptionally good and the meat carvery and vegetarian carveries were all high quality and tasty. The desserts and bottomless ice-cream, for those with room, rounded off a good value for money meal with helpful, attentive staff at hand.

Such a lovely pub and always welcoming. The staff always go the extra mile for us, manager man is so good. we go in as a big family group of 14+ and they let us have the lovely private function room. Highly recommend a carvery with a bit of everything! (my mouths watering!) and they have nice garden with wooden climbing frame when its sunny. Loads of parking.

Needed a dog friendly pub .After reading the reviews we paid a visit. We were greeted by a very friendly dog loving staff member . Showed us to our table and explained how to order etc. we both had a 3 course festive meal . And I must say all 3 course’s were fantastic. Crispy prawns, carvery and cherry sponge to finish. Will definitely visit again. Definitely recommend this place x

Enjoyed our trip out to the Haywain Pizza & Carvery the atmosphere was friendly, service was very clear and well maintained. Well managed. Worth a thought if you are looking for a good meal and the pudding menu was good as well - pictured cookie dough with mallows and a touch of seret syrup
