Fantastic Yo! sushi experience, the evening set menu is such great value and the service was really friendly and attentive, will come back again!
It wasn't the first time I came to the restaurant, but it was the first time I was served poorly, and the employee had a more incorrect attitude. I ordered the bowl of noodles, regular size, on the menu it doesn’t say the size of their regular size, so like a normal person I assume that the regular size would be a single dose, but no it happens to be a desert size bowl. I question the staff if that was my noodles bowl and he said it was, I double checked if that was correct and the “manager” I assume, barely face me and told it was correct and that they don’t do the menus or the price’s after I comment that £5,80 was a bit much for a dessert size bowl that the company call regular. Plus the quality of the bowl wasn’t even that good taste. It’s sad this situation don’t think I’m coming back, only ordered the bowl expecting to be a normal regular size and I was deceived.
Great staff, nice food, I’d recommend for a quick bite. The kids eat free (kiddo bento box) with a paying adult which was really good value. Thanks you Yo!
Came in today with my daughter for the first time. It was a lovely experience. The staff were warm and friendly and explained how everything worked. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty, my daughter loved it as well. The only thing I would be a little worried about being a chef myself is your blue chopping board ( raw ) is a little too close to your yellow board ( cooked ) the chances of cross contamination was a little high, other than that this place is excellent and will definitely be back again.
Used to be amazing but after Covid quality of food got worse, sushi is not as fresh as it used to be. Perhaps this is because the menu has changed, ie Yo Fries taste plain comparing to delicious fries it used to be, spicy tuna rolls are not even close to what it was before. Dining inside the restaurant used to be great experience before but not any more, staff does not seem to be focus on their guest and food doesn’t taste the same. The portions are smaller and not as tasty.Deliveries are okay but the prices are too high for quality of food, there are better places to order from in High Wycombe. Disappointing as this used to be my favourite place for lunch and weekend deliveries.
The food in here is always so good and I love that you can watch the chefs cook your food to order. I will say its very annoying that you can't order salmon maki on deliveroo but it's an option in store. I ended up ordering elsewhere last week because I just really fancied some and didn't want a whole platter to get it. T While there on Saturday there was a young man turning people away at the door as they were "too short on staff" for them which is fair enough but when a suggestion was made by a colleague to word it a bit better he literally waved her off. Extremely disrespectful and it was awkward to see.
We love it there, always fun and a chilled vibe. We're even getting to know some of the crew there, were in the hospitality biz as well and we know how to spot a good place :) really good if your a sociable couple... But still cool if your not!
This Yo is mainly at the bar, only 3 seated tables in the restaurant, so not ideal if a table is preferred. Food was standard for Yo, however portion sizes are noticeably smaller since Covid. Most disappointing thing is that their priorities are on takeaway orders and this created long food delays as well as no one helping with cutlery and other needs
Booked a space thank goodness. Very busy. New ways of working. But, great food, staff lovely and wish all at Yo well!
