Parking can be difficult as it's very popular. I've only had the carvery which at £10 is very good value. There isn't anywhere else you will get a huge full roast dinner at that price. Also, it's dog friendly.
Have been a couple of times, the food is the best carvery I've had. Good selection and hot.... very popular and the prices make it realistic to go there more than just for special occasions. Nice interior, which they had blended the old and new decor. Thats the only thing thats they have missed.
I very rarely give 5* stars to eateries but The Forge simply deserves it! I’ve eaten in a lot of places during my travels around the UK and I cannot think of another eatery where you get this kind of value for money. A full roast for a tenner!? In 2025! Yes. £10 gets you a choice of 3 meats (or a little of each) which is provided by a member of staff. You are then free to help yourself to as much veg, gravy and sauces as you like. You can even go back for seconds (no meat though). I specifically attended for the roast so have to admit that I’m not sure what their other food costs as I simply didn’t look at the menu! But I have to imagine other dishes are also reasonably priced. So if you’re in the area and looking for great value for your money, and great tasting food, I think you’re going to be hard pressed to find a better place to
Lovely place to have a carvery. Nice tasty food and a great selection of veggies available. I do like the artwork and interesting arty feel of the place. The toilets were clean and very fresh smelling which is a bonus. I would definitely recommend and I’m sure we will be back again. :)
We were looking for a carvery and was recommended The Forge by a friend. First time here and they did not disappoint! The meats and veg were lovely, generous portions and cooked well. The puddings were astounding, I had the brownie and ice cream, it was unreal! Just look at that presentation, it made me say "wow" when the waitress brought it over. We had 2 drinks 2 meals and 2 puddings all for £37, I think that's an insanely good price! The atmosphere was really nice as well, we had a great night, thanks! 5/5* would 100% recommend!
Superb carvery. Very well priced at £11. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Great layout for the smoking area outside if you need a puff and want to stay dry. Highly recommend

Truly well worth dining at this Carvery. Easy access car park, with great disable access. Individual diner needs taken into consideration. The staff when out of their way to ensure an excellent dining experience. Very clean and tidy with the most beautiful interior design with lots of indoor or outdoor dining zones. The starters were beautiful presented and the carvery enjoyed by 12 adults offering three different types of meat and an extension selection of vegetables. Good size portions from the children's menu.
