   The decor is lovely, has a really nice feel to it. The service was ok but it was the busy Christmas period and there were only 2 people serving which is nowhere near enough - it’s not their fault but they couldn’t possibly keep up with all the tables. The food was pretty good, but the portions are quite small, we left a bit hungry and stopped off at Tescos on the way home.

   We decided to pop out for an unscheduled dinner out… Our server was Hannah H and she was superb! Very friendly, helpful and efficient! Our food was lovely and arrived promptly. All in all a fantastic experience, thank you!

   We arrived without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised that we didn’t have to wait at all. We were greeted with a warm smile and seated immediately, which was a lovely start to our meal. Both of us ordered the pork, and overall, everything was delicious. The pork itself was cooked perfectly—tender and juicy—with outstanding crackling that was crispy and full of flavor. The vegetables served alongside were fresh and very tasty, and the gravy was rich and satisfying, adding depth to every bite. The only small downside was the Yorkshire pudding, which we found to be a little dry. It didn’t quite match the high quality of the rest of the meal, but it wasn’t a major issue. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Their polite and cheerful manner really contributed to the positive atmosphere and enjoyable dining experience. We truly appreciated the service and the quality of the food. It’s clear that the team here takes pride in what they do. We will definitely be coming back and would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a well-cooked, hearty meal in a welcoming setting. George is a superstar! ⭐️

   We booked a family special occasion on the Sunday. Booking online is easy. We ate in the restaurant area. Lovely decor and actually a good roast (trio) although I would have preferred roast pork rather than a bit of pork belly but the beef! Yummy and tender. Would always recommend this pub and it's always busy so I guess I'm not alone! Ps other parts of the pub are dog friendly.

   Lovely little pub, food was delicious, the fish and batter literally just melts in the mouth. Food was well seasoned and flavours were lovely. Only 4 stars as the staff need a little more training I feel, a little unsure and not confident our waitress was. But all that aside good environment and great food. The fire was on so set a lovely atmosphere from when you walked In.

   This restaurant offers a full range of meals, well stocked premium bar and boasts a warm traditional interior. I visited to sample the incredibly high quality Sunday roast; which consists of multiple meat options, vegetarian dishes, sides, desserts and drinks pairings. The staff are smartly dressed, polite, professional and enthusiastic. The building is tidy, nicely decorated and the toilets are well maintained. Easily accessible by road but also via a rear nature/rambling trail which is perfect for dog walkers.

   Booked in for Sunday lunch, things started out great, service got a bit slow around dessert, drinks ordered hadn't turned up, no spoons for desserts etc, I guess maybe they got more stretched around 2pm. The roast was delicious. I wasn't a fan of the dessert particularly, but others enjoyed their desserts, though some weren't given a choice of custard/ ice cream with dessert and were a little disappointed with what they got, e.g. ice cream with sticky toffee pudding instead of custard. Overall it was a good experience, and maybe a little overstretched at Sunday lunch, so I would give them a try again
