Birthday celebrations! Cappuccino’s warm at best on the first round ! The gammon just edible but very sweet, the eggs were overdone but sent back and came back out nicely done. I have to say tho the gammon egg and chips wasn’t worth the price tag there was nothing to it ! Literally just a Handful of chips and the eggs!truthfully we mostly all gave it 5 out of ten! The nut roast was a joke literally the smallest piece of nut roast ever. All of the mains served were basically warm apart from the second lot of eggs and the fish and chips which were apparently ok. We were a table of ten and had visited before but we won’t be going back. It’s extremely expensive and most of the dishes were bland and warm. My friends mother didn’t rate the roast chicken at all and gave it a 3/10. Most main meals were £21 each or more so should have been absolutely perfect! There wasn’t any type of vibe in the pub worth mentioning, so all in all not a great experience unfortunately. The staff were nice tho and helpful with the cakes we supplied which were extremely nice.

Possibly the best fish and chips I've ever had!! When by the sea, I try to eat fish and chips, the Bugle has the best fish and chips I've ever had. No exaggeration!! The batter was so crispy it crackled as it was cut and the fish was lovely and flaky. Not greasy, absolutely perfect. Chips were super fluffy and the tartar sauce was a delight. The lemon was lightly charred which gave it a nice twist. My 4 year old at like a boy possessed which is high praise indeed. How he had space for ice cream afterwards I'll never know but he loved his meal. Staff were very welcoming with lots of smiles and our food was with us in no time at all. Reasonably priced, not cheap but not eye watering either. I'm so often disappointed in fish and chips by the sea where it should be top notch; the Bugle knows fish and chips. There is absolutely no shortage of pubs on the road, I would have no problem going back to the Bugle. A big pat on the back to the staff, they're doing the establishment proud.

Great food, service and location in beautiful Hamble. Food was restaurant standard. Fishcakes and risotto were a triumph. Washed down with Ringwood Fortyniner. What's not to like!

We ordered veg burger and hot dog and the taste was overall good. We really love the fries, they were different but soft and one of its kind. Would love to visit again because of its fries ;) service was good too may be add live music for the lively atmosphere.

We went here yesterday for a late Sunday afternoon roast and booked a table for 8. I was blown away by the service from Scott and the team. We had two young boys with us and he was patient, kind and attentive to them, nothing was too much trouble even getting them extra paper and dealing with all their special requests. The food was delicious and I’ve been telling everyone how brilliant it was. So good I couldn’t not write a review. If there is any recognition rewards - Scott absolutely deserves a medal for his approach and customer service. It’s been a long time since I’ve had such exceptional service at a pub/restaurant.

Went for a Sunday roast and the food was delicious. They had a great variety of dishes so it would be good even if you didn't fancy a roast. The Vegan options were great and I loved the roasted beetroot starter. Service was really good too! Would definitely go again and the location is great!

Lovely pub to enjoy a drink and bite to eat, while soaking up the nautical atmosphere. Good selection of beers and a good menu. Plenty of seating inside and out. Friendly staff.

We visited for lunch. We both ordered The Cod and chips which where fantastic as was the service the little jars of ketchup are a really nice touch I don't usually like mushy peas but their home made version where really nice as was the homemade tatar sauce. A very friendly and efficient front of house. I would recommend to anyone.

Went for a birthday lunch, had booked but there were a few empty tables. Only a small outdoor seating area though so would recommend booking. Serving a limited menu at the moment, but lots of lovely options. Food was excellent quality. We shared the arancini and crab croquettes to start. I had the minute steak for main, was actually thicker than I’d have expected and still nice and pink in middle, served with yummy garlic butter. My mum had a salad bowl with lots of fresh flavours and my husband enjoyed his dish and chips. Recommend the elderflower gin cocktail too!
