**Edit** tried again and the takeaway is randomly closed with no warning. **updated** yet another shambles, stopped serving food early. Just don’t bother. After a promising start, now falling down on the essentials. Very simple orders for fish & chips getting caught up behind complicated orders. Nobody seems to know what’s going on. 25 minutes to be served this time. Takes forever for what used to take minutes. The place really needs to get back to basics.

We were ordering through a delivery apps and had a question. When I phoned the shop, the fellow couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Friendly, too. Thankfully, this attitude is reflected in the food we received. If I just say "proper chip shop chips", you'll no doubt know what I mean. And the fish was plentiful, fresh as can be, and well battered. It was delivered steaming hot. When fish and chips is good, there's nothing like it... so why is it so hard to find such places these days in some parts of the UK? Anyway, this is a straightforward five star review - really good.

The place was really busy as it was peak hour, but the service was fantastic despite the rush. The two people at the front counter (a woman and a young man) were absolutely lovely. They managed the crowd efficiently, taking one order at a time even with a long queue to both order and collect. The food was delicious! We made a big order and tried a variety of items. The chips were amazing, big portions and perfectly cooked. The cod was tasty and fresh, while the beef and onion pie was absolutely lovely. Overall, great food and excellent service, even during a hectic time!

My first impression was the cleanliness of the place. It was spotless! The joint has a couple of tables, which is preety convenient. The staff is very polite, friendly, and helpful. I had the Haddock with a portion of chips. The batter was exceptional, crispy golden brown, and no oil. The chips was excellent, evenly cut and fried to perfecrion. I definitely recommend this place! It is one of my favourite Fish and Chips' in England.

Definitely the best chips in the whole of Great Britain, not even joking. Most underrated chippy in the world.

Lived in Twyford for 16 years. First time I tried it today as the station chippy was closed. I spent £42 on 3 large cod and chips, some anaemic mushy peas and a couple of curry sauces. This was, without doubt, the worst fish and chips I've ever had. Thin and tasteless fish, horrible chips, the oil used was tastless and nothing was crispy and fatty. The mushy peas were mostly water and the curry sauce wasn't spicy in the slightest. I will never go back here. Simply awful and a complete waste of money.

Although it was 5:40pm there wasn't a queue, fish and chips served straight away, staff pleasant. However, once home, which was within a few minutes, the fish and chips were not very warm and were not fresh, fish dry, kept/leftovers from lunchtime we believed. Not nice at all, sorry guys!

This place has completely lost the plot. A "large" haddock and chips now costs you over £10 for a measly portion of what I can only describe as soggy fish. A real same, as the staff are generally polite. I'd go elsewhere even if you're a local.

This used to be a great place for fish and chips . Now however it's like the chips need a spray tan because they have no colour or crisp. And the fish is poor and undercooked it's like tempura sushi. Just please cook the chips longer and buy better grade fish and bring this back too the hayday
