I went 4 times over the last few weeks. The selection is incredible, the food is great and authentic. Lots of vegan options (available also as a separate menu) - I've tried 10 different dishes already and it's just a fraction of the vegan menu. Friendly staff. Very suitable for spice lovers.
The portion of brisket was big. Brisket is tasty though not soft enough. Seafood fried flat noodles was also find. Service charge is 12.5% but will be reduced if paid by cash. So we paid Around 4.3% as service charge.
An absolute gem of a spot, authentic in terms of food and atmosphere. A good variety of halal/veg options as well. The roast duck was especially good, perfectly cooked with a nice crispy skin. Highly recommend. I'm looking forward to being back soon.
The great energy you’ll find in this restaurant is hard to come by these days. I took my partner here on a whim as a last minute date night. The (assumed) owners and servers were fun, friendly and had wicked recommendations. The food, amazing, and the portions were big! It all came with a slightly more relaxed service which suited up perfectly as it gave us time to really enjoy the evening and appreciate the food. My new favourite Chinese restaurant in Reading!
Absolutely love this place! Came here again for dinner as a group of students and it was amazing. The service is always fast (especially as there were 10 of us), the waiters are always very helpful, and of course the food is the best. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, but especially students as it’s right opposite the uni and isn’t too expensive.
located opposite Reading university. The stir fried Pak choi is very good and in general portions were generous. The beef with tomato was tender although it could be more sweet. Decent value for money and the menu is surprisingly good with some traditional dishes if you are adventurous . Worth a visit.
Kung Fu Kitchen is an absolutely amazing restaurant! We've had takeaway from there lots of times but this was the first time we've eaten in. While it is not much to look at from the outside, the restaurant has some of the best Chinese food I've eaten! The pork belly was particularly good but the fried dumplings, salt and pepper squid and beef udon were all great too. On top of the excellent food, Jo and Steven are fantastic hosts - so friendly and always happy to give tips about what to try on the menu.
Good atmosphere, very tasty food waited a little while for the food to arrive and then to pay. I recommend the sweet chili tofu with pineapple.
Yummy Chinese halal food which is a difficult combination. Really good service. We tried their noodles, chicken, beef and lamb. All dishes were delicious! The only comment I would make is that the rice was stodgy. I personally prefer less sticky rice. Otherwise, highly recommend this place
