Sunday Buffet Really enjoyed the Nepalese/Indian buffet here. Good variety of dishes and the starters were cooked fresh to order which made a big difference; everything tasted really fresh and full of flavour. Great experience, would happily come back.
Great curry in a classic curry house atmosphere. Swift and friendly service and the only issue was a chicken Dhansak arriving by mistake (hence 4 rather than 5* service) though I’m pretty certain they didn’t just fish the meat out in the correct veggie version which arrived quickly and contained plenty of fresh veggies though I’d probably ask for it to be more spicy next time. Reasonable value and we were offered a free spirit at the end of the meal.
Had a lovely meal back up to standard use to xx Updated Wednesday 12 March a great set menu for wednesday £12.95 starter main and side . These photos also include off menu but must say would definitely go for the set menu but as birthday celebrations people had different food etc .
I’ve not been for a few years now and still this restaurant didn’t disappoint me. Wonderful staff to welcome you and serve you. The food was freshly cooked and so tasty. Can’t wait to return. Highly recommend trying this lovely place!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Himalayan Hot Spot on School Road in Tilehurst is a friendly and cosy Indian food restaurant. The staff are welcoming courteous and very friendly. There is a wide range of dishes to choose from on the menu and portion sizes are generous. Prices are good. The food is very good. I recommend the special jalfrezi and it is spicy hot. It is a fairly small establishment but you should be able to get a table though best to book. You can start with a couple drinks in the pub opposite then head over for some good quality food. The food normally arrives pretty quickly. Been here quite a few times and will be going back. A popular place and deservedly so. Recommended.
Wonderful place. Family run restaurant, very authentic kitchen, super tasty, maybe best Nepalese and Indian kitchen in a city. Very pleasant prices. To-go destination for our family!

Friendly little restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. Food is consistently good. Sunday night buffet is great value albeit a little cramped when busy. Would recommend!
It was my first time been there, we had such a lovely dinner, amazing service, delicious and tasty meal. Clean and healthy. I definitely will come back to it and will recommend it to my friends. Thank you for the hospitality and the best service.
