I meet my friend often at Cafe Retreat because it's halfway between us. The food is well cooked and lovely, whether you want a coffee and cake or a meal. Good prices and service. You do need cash to pay though, but there's an ATM just outside.

I went there for brunch with my partner on Friday 24th October. The food was great and the staff were lovely. Great experience will definitely go again.

I've been there many times and their service is good. I wish they had more varieties of food choices.

Stopped by for a milkshake. Fast service, friendly staff, even when my mum accidentally forgot to pay! They approached friendly and wasn't rude over the mistake. Milkshake was beautiful too

This is a great place for breakfast. Very reasonable price and well presented. The staff are super polite and cannot do enough for you. Clean and tidy with a good environment. Nice coffee with a choice of alternative milk for those like me who are cow milk sensitive. Will definitely use again.

Went to grab 2 baguettes with a mate at work , no eye contact no welcoming hello. 16 pound for 2 teas and 2 baguettes. Also had to wait for a good 20 minutes for the food to come out which I then had to remind them we were still waiting. When asked about the bill we were told to wait for the bill after the food was done. Complete rip off, bad service and food was nothing amazing

Ordered the Turkish breakfast at over £12 and what I got was not much bigger than a starter, 2 fried, 5 small slices of sausage, side salad amount of tomato cucumber and olives and two very small cheese stuffed pastries. Double the amount of everything would have made a breakfast but would have been expensive!

Great café/restaurant. Good food at reasonable prices. Excellent service and good atmosphere. It's popular, so tables are close and it can get noisy.

Great local, independent café. Cash only. Good staff, plenty of choice on the menu including breakfasts and lunches. Nice strong coffee. Good value. Small car park to rear, need a token from the staff when you leave to open the barrier.

Food was okay. Sausages and hash browns were over cooked and greasy. Egg, bacon and fried tomatoes were nice. Mushrooms were nice but again a little greasy. The toast came out before the rest of the breakfast and was a little thin. The staff didn't seem particularly happy but were friendly enough. Sorry but will not be returning.
