They do THE BEST fresh cooked chicken tandoori wraps! Food is delicious and the family that run this are lovely. Definately worth a visit

Seriously woeful! The fish cake didn’t taste real, there was more oil than fish or batter on the fish and the chips were passable at best! The curry sauce was a BIr base gravy they got from their Indian door so wasn’t a curry sauce at all

I’m so sorry to post a negative review but I’m hoping it results in change as pangbourne could do with a nice fish and chip shop. Sadly the food was the worst I’ve had. The grease from the fish and chips was literally running from the wrapping when I picked it up, the chips weren’t great and the fishcake was terrible. The curry sauce didn’t even look like curry sauce and was more like a drink gone wrong. The establishment also needs a really good makeover and needs to accept card payments as it’s cash only

Food: really good food, tasty, perfect amount of salt and vinegar on chips. The battery on the sausage was crispy. Both chips and sausage were very good quality and NOT covered in oil!! the curry sauce I brought two of, as most places don't give you enough; not this place!!! Curry sauce is really nice: thick and full of flavour. Portion of chips, battered sausage, two curry sauces, and a can of pop all under a £10. Can't argue with that. Service could be improved; it would make it easier to have a card machine in the chip shop as well as the restaurant. Made a heavily pregnant woman craving fish and chips very happy!!!

This is the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. After a busy day, we walked 10 minutes from our campsite to the fish and chip shop. I’d say we were all looking forward to a tasty fish and chips to complete our lovely weekend. We walked into the very outdated and cramped shop, it definitely felt homely and made us excited for our meal. I then ordered a LARGE cheesy chips with a cod and chips which came to just over £13. For this price we were expecting the best fish and chips ever. We were then told to sit down and waited 20 minutes in the quiet shop with no one else in. When we finally got our order I almost didn’t want to leave the dirty shop. We made it back to the campsite and proceeded to unpack our order. The LARGE cheesy chips were to share between me and my friend, let’s just say we had to snack on a whole bag of crisps to satisfy our hunger. Plus most of the cheese was stuck to the paper wrapping. My other friend who had the cod and chips, had more chips than us and to top it off had bones in his fish as well as hair! This definitely made me feel my money was well spent. All in all I would say go to the co op 1 minute walk away, buy frozen chips and cook them yourself.

Some bad reviews here, never to be taken likely. We visited yesterday on a Wednesday lunchtime and were the only customers to begin with. The very friendly person doing our order produced two excellent portions of cod and chips. We ate them in the grassy shade right on the Thames next to the toll bridge. Fish was beautifully cooked, a good size with light, non greasy batter and tasted lovely. Chips were as good. Hopefully future customers will have a similar positive experience but we,ll be back.

Don't waste your money and check your order before you leave if you chance it!! Just been to this chip shop. It took 27 mins to get my order. Simple 2 fish and chips and 2 chicken and chips kids meals. I was the only customer. Half way home i realised we had no curry sauce but had paid for it. When i got home i found we had 2 fish and chips, 1 chicken and chips and a scampi??!! Called and they refuse to refund and no offer to replace the chicken meal either. Shocking service and will never go back!!

Absolutely Amazing!! Best fish in chips in the area, we have been on a boat for 10 days going up and down the river Thames and made sure we stopped here each time we past. Fish was cooked fresh in front of me as well as the chips and even battered sausage was freshly battered, and a good size pot of mushy peas!!!
