I come to dolphin on a regular basis but tonight I ordered 2 portions of scampi .. no chips.. but even my cat wouldn’t eat it ! So will be back for my Jumbo Haddock soon !
Honestly the food is good and fresh but the service is slow - 25 minute wait for a fish supper - it was clear that online orders were priority and customers in the shop left waiting and forgotten. Also yes I agree with previous reviews, run by very young/teenagers no adult in sight - worrying
The place was just about to close when I arrived in Aberdeen, but the guys were great and made me a great smoked sausage supper.
The double cheeseburger was outstanding especially from a chipper the fish and chips was outstanding as well, the white pudding was lovely says my nana and the steak pie filled with meat was amazing and the chicken breast OMG loved it will be back as soon as I can visiting from Dubai great taste of the Scottish chipper.
Along with other things I ordered a cheese burger and asked for onions on it to be told the only onions they do are pickled onion so that is disappointment number one so after receiving my order I went home to have my cheeseburger and hello disappointment number two the chips were nice but so so disappointed with cheeseburger all I got was a cold bun a really thin burger and slice of cheese no salad or sauce nothing . So guess who won’t be going there again , so disappointed been here before and everything was lovely but that’s what happens when youngsters are left unsupervised l
Ordered online for picking up myself .The fish was perfectly cooked with batter being nice and crispy .Chips were lovely and fluffy and not greasy . Would definitely consider ordering from them again .
Good food, great prices. Food is always hot. Phone in if your watching the rugby lol.
Generally a good local chipper. However it is not a cheap meal for a family of 4 anymore, but nice for a change.
Just purchased two suppers and from the menu it was £16.00 but when I wnt in it had increase to £16.90. When I mentioned this they just hummed and hayed and I paid the money. I would be very careful if you decide to purchase from here and I will not go back as they cannot keep their details up to date or just don't care about their customers or both.
We asked for everything we ordered to be freshly cooked fish was average but my king rib was not cooked properly batter hot but rib itself was cold in the middle. Very pricey and when we phone and complained the head fryer said that could not happen well I can assure you it did. Won't be bsck
