Very good gin and tonics to start. We ordered bread and roast chicken butter which was really tasty but we didn't need it. Food was fantastic. We had the 6 course Nutcracker menu with the wine pairing. Service was excellent Only small comment - Waiting staff give information on the food and the wine but it's too much information, too quickly so you can't take it all on board. Something in writing would be good. I like to know the detail of the meal and ingredients.

A Taste of NYC in Aberdeen – Flawless from Start to Finish! We dined at Six by Nico Aberdeen on Saturday 1st November and were blown away by the New York 10-course tasting menu. Every dish was bold, authentic, and beautifully executed β€” from street-style bites to upscale twists. We added the full experience: 1x pairing cocktails, 1x pairing wines, and all the sides. No regrets. Every drink complemented the food perfectly. Minerva looked after us with warmth and precision β€” attentive without being intrusive. She made the evening feel special, and we can’t thank her enough. Shout out to Minerva! The restaurant itself is stunning β€” sleek, stylish, and perfectly located on Union Street in the city centre. A must-visit for anyone who loves food with flair. Catch a glimpse of the night on my YouTube channel @yosomarks.

The meal we had last night was first class. Every component had a sense that it had been worked on to optimise its flavour and presentation. Service was responsive attentive and friendly. Front of house was excellent when we came in. It takes a real effort to make a meal with 27 different components (I counted them!) So that all of them stand out. The Basque menu was really interesting and varied. All in all, it was a first class experience.

I almost did not end up going to this place because of some of the bad reviews, but I'm so glad I ended up going. We had the Space - 6 course tasting menu, and by course 4, I was FULL! The menu was absolutely delicious and interesting to say the least, and I can't believe the price for this experience. All 4 of us enjoyed it and I can't wait to go back to try another menu. It was lovely, and the staff were great too.

We had the best time last night at Six By Nico. We had the 10 course Interstellar menu. From start to finish, our experience was amazing. The Front of House staff were very pleasant & knowledgeable. Our waitress Minerva was full of smiles and willing to explain everything to us. She took the time to ask what our favourite course was & seemed to have a genuine interest which made it great experience. Every course came in good time and was presented perfectly. The headphone & blind folded course was hilarious & we really enjoyed this part of the meal. This was our first visit & we will definitely be back.

Very excited to come here given all the hype from people who had visited their other chains around the UK or had tried the home by Nico. As expected on opening weekend the restaurant was completely packed including the bar area which was nice to see in Aberdeen! The idea is you have 6 courses as a tasting menu which follows a set theme. This theme changes every 6 weeks from what I understand. There is a regular menu and a vegetarian menu - the good thing is you can pick and choose between the menus so if you don't like one of the courses you can switch it with the vegetarian menu and vice versa. You have the option of going with a wine pairing with the courses of food. Service staff were very friendly and had lots of work to do as there were many courses to deliver. The theme we had was 'the chipper' a brilliant take on fish and chips but much more refined. You had the option For our meal we went with the 'snack' which was an appetiser of sourdough bread and oyster butter along with smoked cod croquettes. I'd say the croquettes were one of the best things we ate so would recommend this. Overall the food was beautifully presented and a lot of effort went into the menu as well as creation of sauces and emulsions on the plate. My favourite course was probably the fish supper as this was the kind of thing you'd get from a very good seafood restaurant. There were smoke effects in the fifth dish which added to the aura of the restaurant. The final course was a dessert which was famously created in Aberdeen, the deep fried Mars bar (I believe the Carron in Stonehaven but don't quote me on that) - this was an excellent take with chocolate pave, and a first for me which was an irn bru sorbet. I tip my hat to you six by Nico as this was a very well thought out dessert. As this was quite an expensive restaurant in comparison to others in Aberdeen I'll be a little more critical. Improvements can be made in cohesion between the courses, there were times you were waiting two to three times longer between certain courses. At a point we thought we had been forgotten about and got our courses in the wrong order. This is however a brand new restaurant with new staff and you expect an adjustment period. I would say the manager on the floor was excellent and seemed to be aware of all the customers and was directing the team effectively considering how busy it was. The other room for improvement would be better ventilation. As nice a touch it was having the smoky effects with the food we felt the smoke lingered and left you with an unsettled feeling in the stomach. Overall I'm very glad we went, would recommend to others and I'm looking forward to finding out what the next theme will be.

Dinner for 4, with the Japanese tasting menu and matched wines. The food was really good, more influenced by Japan than truly authentic. Portions were just right, not too big and not too small. The drinks were well matched. Service was friendly, knowledgable and relaxed. All in it was a little over Β£100 per person which is the only draw back.

Great place to spend quality time with friends! We've been as party of four. One of us has shellfish allergy and the restaurant accommodated our needs no problem. Wine was excellent. Happy to see Aberdeen getting such a lovely place to dine. Cannot wait what's next! Bogdan took care of us very well! Thank you!

I was very impressed and surprised by Six by Nico, to start with I was very impressed with the presentation of the food which was amazing, and secondly I have always been quantity rather than quality eater so wasn't to sure if I would be full enough after visiting, so was very surprised when I came away feel very full and happy with myself. And the restaurant is very modern and bright in side and the staff were truly amazing and knew the dishes inside out and were very happy to answer any questions you have about the menu. And there were also vegan and vegetarian menu's to pick from. Would highly recommend going if you haven't been and personally can't wait to go again myself.
