   Serious Food Safety Concerns Ignored! I visited German Doner Kebab and was served stone-cold chicken and beef, which is especially worrying from a hygiene and food safety perspective. I returned my meal to the counter, and the staff checked it and agreed it was cold. They remade the meal for me — but unbelievably, the second meal also contained stone-cold chicken and beef. Being served potentially unsafe meat twice is unacceptable. I went back again to tell the staff, who were apologetic and acknowledged the problem, but by that point I no longer felt comfortable eating anything from there due to the clear risk. I requested a refund, and the manager, Zaneta, came over. After I explained what had happened, she went to tell the kitchen the meat was cold — yet they were still serving this meat to other customers, which is extremely concerning. I raised this with head office, but unfortunately they brushed it off rather than taking the issue seriously. For a company serving chicken and beef, proper food temperature should be a basic priority. This experience has left me with zero confidence in their food handling or safety standards. The head office seems to think this is case closed just because I got a refund at the time, when they are forgetting the fact that they served me cold chicken twice in a row and dicing with my health!

   Order food today. Sunday 23rd November. My kebab had all the salad and all the sauces when I specifically asked for no sauce and just lettuce. My total order was £25 and the only thing I ate was the fries I did drink my black cherry chocolate milkshake which was amazing. Really disappointed with my order today and probably won't ever order from yourselves again... Your chocolate cinnamon donut things were also inedible they were hard and freezing cold. So disappointed and still hungry as I can't afford to order anything else .. Will be surprised if anyone from GKD replies...

   I was at town on Sunday and saw GDK at the food court, and I was greeted kind fully by the staff members at the front. I placed my order on the till and I didn’t even know that students get discounts! I ordered an OG kebab with chicken and my order came within around 2-5 minutes. The kebab was heavily loaded with meat and salad and the sauce made it sooo nice. I would definitely recommend people to come by at GDK, and they’re also giving at discount leaflets too!

   The sauces are the best part. They are quite unique, tasty and iconic for the brand. Otherwise the meat itself is fairly below average. Best pizza and kebab can offer you something way better. I wouldn't pay full price for this. The packaging is nice I guess but extremely unnecessary for such a substandard product and just a pain to tear up for recycling.

   I ordered mix meat, chips and cheese. The Doner meat looked like fly strips that had been hanging from the ceiling for a while, it was very dry indeed. The cheese was more like a sauce and the portion was very small. The chips where ok. I was very shocked for £7, but I was hungry and didn't complain, I just thought I would definitely not go back there again. Sorry, just being honest with my experience.

   Great food! Finally a kebab in Derby that is not lamb but beef, as original German kebabs! Acceptable prices, quick service, I like ordering in an electronic kiosk as I can see all the available options. All in all highly recommended

   An excellent place to enjoy German Doner Kebab. Quick and friendly service and prices are reasonable. Food tastes great. The portions are smallish, but the calorie count appears to be high for such food quantities, perhaps because the kebabs have high-fat content. Enjoyable occasionally, I suppose.
