   A lovely canal-side pub with a beautiful, spacious garden right next to the water. The Inn is spotlessly clean inside and offers a great selection of real ales and hot drinks — including a delicious hot chocolate topped with cream and marshmallows. The staff are super friendly and gave us a really warm welcome. We only stopped for drinks this time, but the food coming out looked excellent. We’ll definitely be back!

   My husband and I went for an evening meal on Saturday. The food was tasty and well presented. It was so delicious but I struggled to finish it. Tristan very kindly put my food in a takeaway container so I could take it home. Alicia and Kiesha were also excellent serving our food and drinks. Lovely staff, we will be returning and highly recommend.

   Visited here with a group of friends after a walk in the local area. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered from the set menu which was 2 courses for £16.99 at the weekend. Food was really good, great sized portions and really tasty. Good value for money. Excellent range of draft beers on tap. Would definitely recommend and return.

   We held our wedding reception at The Dragon on 30/08/25. We were absolutely blown away with the kindness, hospitality and how hard everyone worked to ensure our reception went smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious, there was so many compliments said by our family and friends on how amazing the food was and how lovely the room was (Deb at bee sweet occasions did an incredible job!). We had the most amazing day and made some special memories. Thank you so much to all the staff that made our day run smoothly and stress free! Our overnight stay at The Cottage was wonderful. Our room was so gorgeous and clean, we will definitely be booking an overnight stay for our wedding anniversary.

   We loved the service here. As soon as we were seated we were offered drinks straight away and they arrived quickly. We both chose breakfast and I had the vegetarian option. I really liked that it came with tinned tomatoes as well as beans, as I much prefer that to fresh tomatoes. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. The tables were all laid out with cutlery and glasses and the tea comes in a pot. Overall it was an excellent experience.

   I think the Dragon, maybe, has designs above its station if its food is anything to go by. Two of us went for a special dinner, so we could have gone anywhere, but we like the Dragon for its quiz and excellent beer. Its problem is price. Like anyone I don't mind paying for quality but the food was average at best, and worst of all, some dishes were tepid. We had the sharer starters of Katsu wedges, prawn bruschetta and loaded mushrooms. The mushrooms came out after we'd finished the other two and were cold. The wedges and the prawns were good though. Next we had loaded burger and a tepid mushroom stroganoff and for dessert stem ginger sticky toffee pud with a thin custard and a vegan tiramisu, whuch wad ok but all the taste was in the last mouthful. Overall we paid a lot of money for what was basically Harvester fayre. It was extremely disappointing and they really need to look at whether or not they should reduce food prices or increase the menu or the quality. Staff great though to be fair and we will still quiz and drink there but not eat unless things change

   Lovely pub by the canal/river. Visited for breakfast meeting. Food was very tasty and well presented and service was excellent. Trade seemed quite buoyant for a cold January day. Would like to visit again in the summer and watch the boats and world go by.
