I bring my young family here. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. They are wonderful hosts and so good with the kids. The food is good too if you like a bit of spice I’d recommend the nduja Calzone.
We visited last night and we're still talking about it now! The welcome was warm, we had told them it was our anniversary and we were met with a very good quality complimentary Prosecco. The calamari was so soft, and the coating so delicate and crisp. My wife had a glass of Montepulciano that was bursting with berry flavours and so drinkable. My linguine Mare was the best pasta dish I have ever had. And I have eaten Italian food all over the world. My wife was also very impressed with her dish, saying it was spicy, but in an edible, classy way that she had to finish it! We weren't rushed, made to feel so welcome and there is no doubt we will be back. You could see from the clientele that it is so well respected locally. Looks like the kind of place you will need to book, and I can see why. If I could give 11/10, I would. Incredible.
Excellent food, attentive service and great ambience. Despite arriving a little early for our booking we were seated straight away. The service was attentive but not intrusive, and we loved the atmosphere in the restaurant. The calamari was the best I've ever had, my creamy pasta dish was delicious and the pannacotta was perfect, perfected by the rhubarb compote which complemented the sweetness of the rest of the dish. Good value too. We will definitely return.
Struck Gold Last Night My current favourite white wine "Village Bacchus" is on the Wine List from the local Penncroft Vineyard (5 miles away) and the Homemade fresh pappardelle with black truffle cream, porcini mushrooms and garlic was perfection on a plate!
Well, this was our first visit to El Castello, together with a friend. What a treat, the service was fantastic, the restaurant is stylish (and spotless) and the food was totally delicious. My crab tagliatelle was perfect. Thank you for looking after us so well, we'll be back!
Best restaurant we’ve ever tried! El Castillo has never made me or my family disappointed, pizza and pasta is always spot on and they never fail to make us smile. Waiters are amazing, amount of space is just perfect. It’s a must and I would definitely recommend it! 11/10
Amazing food. We had Mushroom & Chicken Pasta and Penne Tomato sauce pasta. Both had very nice flavours. The staff are helpful and asked us if we would like to change anything in the dish. Very accomodating.

Came here for the first time and cannot praise the staff and food highly enough. Happily accepted my elderly dog to sit outside and gave her treats. My 7 year old son was made to feel very welcome too with a hearty kids menu and colouring pencils. We were all offered blankets incase we felt a bit nippy. The food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
