My wife and I met up with a very good friend on Sunday. We had a terrific lunch, the food was superb. The service maybe could have been better as we had been numerous times before and had been better. That said the staff are extremely helpful, and very friendly. Overall a great place for any occasion. Robert Pettie

Highly recommend staying here, the staff were the biggest asset! Shower in our room was fabulous , the room decor modern and spotless. Lots of little extras eg earplugs in the drawer. Breakfast was lovely, parking was easy. Honestly , nothing was too much effort One very small issue was the people above us were so so noisy, stamping and running up and down(think kids) until 11pm and started again at 6am

What a fantastic place with a fabulous restaurant and staff that are the friendliest, welcoming people we've ever met in a hotel. The food is some of the best food we've eaten albeit quite expensive compared to other restaurants but absolutely worth every penny however the only slight criticism is the drinks are very expensive, ie Β£6.50 for a bottle of water and I think it worked out at Β£13.75 for a double barcardi and a bottle of diet coke as there was no draft coke. We live in a main city so are used to paying inflated prices but the drinks are more expensive than Manchester city prices, but we'd definitely stay here again because everything else was perfect, and it's literally across the road from where we pick the cruise up from.

Went for dinner after the boat show. Our first choices were all fully booked with people who had thought further ahead than us, so we went here. The food was great, reasonably priced, perfect atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff, suffice to say we were glad we missed our first choices. Never had tapas before, so I've no frame of reference, but I really enjoyed it and will definitely do it again, particularly if I'm back in Southampton.

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, a well-equipped bathroom, and plenty of natural light. Breakfast was enjoyable, offering a good start to the day. However, the price felt a bit high considering the overall experience. The lack of noise insulation was a major drawbackβ€”the traffic noise from the main road was quite intrusive, and the thin walls made it easy to hear conversations from neighboring rooms late at night. While the room itself was pleasant, the noise significantly impacted the stay.

Not eaten here for near on 15 years, now kicking myself. From the moment you walk, the staff are smiling, attentive while maintaining total professionalism. Seated in the bar area is a great start to the evening. Drink and food menus given and you are left to relax and peruse them, without any rushing. The choice of food and drinks is superb. The food was quite simply exceptional, my Ribeye was the best I’ve had, the pasta was also not only absolutely delicious, but full of ingredients and a whole plate full; so many pasta dishes these days are a small amount in the middle of the plate. A gorgeous bottle of red with the meal, followed by gorgeous sweets .. Thank you to all the staff. Beautiful decor, intimate and relaxing.

Fabulous place. More restaurant with rooms than hotel. Rooms are comfortable, large and very nicely furnished. Great shower, comfy bed. Superb breakfast with the best coffee I've ever been served in a hotel. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Food in the restaurant is excellent. It's not the cheapest but it's definitely worth it.

Food taste is superb. Every dish we ordered is cooked to perfection. The service, vibe and everything about this place is very good. Will surely visit again and I would highly recommend this if you want to explore Italian cuisine. Better to book a table early if planning to visit in peak hours.

Staff are attentive and friendly and well presented. Great selection of alcohol in many forms. I like sitting in the bar before going into the restaurant. It's nicely decorated, a good temperature, music not too loud and clearly popular. Food is always totally superb - I had a filled pasta with mushroom and truffle. It was so rich, but it was a total treat and stood out from every other Italian I've visited. Thank you.
