We chose Cotes in Henley for our team Christmas get-together and it was a really enjoyable evening from start to finish. We booked online for 7 people and paid a £70 holding deposit. Arriving at around 6pm on a Thursday, the restaurant was relatively quiet (as expected at that time) and we were quickly shown to our table. We were given the choice of the Festive or À La Carte menu and decided to go À La Carte. We ordered a varied round of drinks and a few of the group received a complimentary glass of Prosecco for signing up to the restaurant’s mailing list in advance, which was a nice touch. Service was smart, polite and attentive. The waitress was perhaps a little impatient at the very start, but she warmed up as the evening went on and the service overall was friendly without being intrusive. For food, I had: Sautéed Scallops with black pudding, apple and cabernet sauvignon dressing (£14) Seafood Linguine with mussels, prawns, tomato beurre blanc and a hint of chilli (£19.50) Crème Caramel (£9.50) All three courses were beautifully presented and tasted excellent. The scallops were particularly well cooked and the seafood linguine was full of flavour. The bill came to roughly £300 including service, around £40 per head, which felt very reasonable for three courses and drinks. Overall, a really positive experience and I’d definitely recommend Cotes if you’re looking for a good place to eat in Henley, whether for a group dinner or a special occasion. Parking tip: parking can be scarce in Henley. The public car park behind Waitrose (8am–6pm) is a good option and only about a 3-minute walk to the restaurant.

Had an amazing meal at Côte. The linguine was the absolute standout — perfectly cooked, creamy, and packed with flavour. Honestly one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a long time. The pork belly was tender and delicious, and the crème brûlée was a great way to finish the meal with that perfect crack on top. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service too. Will definitely be back.

Only stayed one night in the area and randomly have chosen restaurant to eat. I made the right choice ! The staff were incredibly friendly and polite from start to finish, and the entire venue—including the tables and toilets—was spotlessly clean. I had the burger, non-alcoholic beers, and finished with the Madeleines and chocolate sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious! They even gave me complimentary bread and butter. A delightful meal and excellent service. I would definitely go back next time I visit!

We stopped at Côte in Henley-on-Thames for an early dinner with family. Once through the very stylish doors, we were met with a very friendly Maître d' who sat us and gave us the various menus. The restaurant is gorgeous, and had a very luxurious feel to it, with a welcoming ambience. We perused the menu, and finally made our decisions - it took us a while as everything sounded tempting. As we were dining before 7pm on a Friday, some of us decided to take advantage of their Prix Fixe menu. I am always a little dubious of these set menus as sometimes you get a sub-standard portion or experience, but on this occasion I was happily proven wrong. I started with the Pork Rillets which were very tasty, and then had the Hachis Parmentier, which was their take on a Cottage Pie. I was very impressed with the Hachis Parmentier, as it was very flavoursome and was also an ample portion. I finished with the Pear Clafoutis with Vanilla Ice Cream - another fantastic quality dish and the perfect end to the meal. Overall, I was very pleased with every aspect of the meal, and considering it came in at just under £21.00 for three delicious courses, it was fantastic value. The service from Simon was wonderful too, he was attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I’d highly recommend a visit to Côte Henley-on-Thames if you’re looking for delicious food in stylish surroundings.

Very nice location in heart of Henley and very beautiful setting inside. Service was slower than average and there were a few issues with our food (items missing) however manager, Suzi, was excellent and sorted out the issues. Very pleasant stay - chocolate fondant is an absolute must for any chocolate lovers. 10/10

Very nice dinner with friends. We sat down just before 7pm on Saturday, the restaurant was busy but not packed. We had olives and forgaise the starters of Crab and I had prawns, but very nice. Mains were Belly pork, Butternut risotto, chicken and I had the monkfish. All were very good indeed. Only one small issue we ordered 3 crab to start, but I had prawns. But very good will go back

Smart, modern and new interior. Friendly staff with a great menu. Food was a little slow to come out however this was 1pm on a Saturday so most likely peak busyness.

What an amazing place. The location was great and we were able to secure a seat by the window. The area was bright and airy and the service was exceptional. Lots of great breakfast choices. I had the French breakfast which was exquisite.
