“I had a breakfast wrap, which came with a few hash brown bites as a side. Amazing food, the best breakfast wrap I've ever had and its often my chosen breakfast choice anywhere i go. Seen other people's food here too and everything looks really good and well presented. More than worth evey penny spent all reasonable priced too. We would definitely recommend this place ... its all day breakfast too !!!”
“Found this place randomly whilst on a motorbike ride and very pleased we decided to stop. Service was excellent - staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent - easy to see how much care and attention is put into each dish. Would definitely recommend”
“It is rare I don't manage to finish an English Breakfast. But I must admit my defeat, as the portion at Spoon Cafe is twice as big as normal. And it's good quality too! Also tried their Eggs Royale, very generous as well. And took some of their flapjacks takeaway.”
“Great location & welcoming staff. Loved the quirky interior”
“Came here straight away from the station because bit chill weather and looking for cuppa coffee. A lovely cafe brighten up my day because love yellow colour like sunshine which i was missing on that cloudy day. Takeaway coffee as don’t like to waste my time but explore this beautiful town. They had most of their stuff homemade which is worth to try.”
“Amazing Saucy Spinach Eggs and Bloody Mary for Sunday Brunch, excellent portion sizes too! Tried a side of french black pudding, that we will defo have again too.”
“The ownership & excellent Food & Service are still the same just a change of name from The Chocolate Cafe. We popped in for breakfast today as not been in for a while. The sausage breakfast bap was so fresh & the sausages superb. Sliced so easy to eat and put together with care. The Bacon Bap the same, husband had the delicious home made hash browns with his. Great coffee & take away a slice of cake. Come with an appetite & expect good things!!”
“Dinner after a day at the Henley Regatta. Hadn't booked and pubs were rammed full. This was an oasis of calm with lovely food and perfect service. Thank you”
“Best burger i have ever eaten! I was there a bit early in the evening, wasn't packed. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. I would easily recommend this place.”
“Stunning food. Had the naga curry. Good heat but not over powering / load of flavour and freshly cooked.”
“I stayed here for 3 nights in total between moving homes! Lovely area, I didn’t want to leave! Beautiful design throughout, amazing food and wine. The customer service on the bar was great, especially as we had a three year old :)”
“Lovely place for eating out. The cafe itself is located very central on this nice little English town. @tmosphere is as always cool, very French feel and people sit near to each other but still there is some tables that can be separated from others. SERVICE Very good! We were served by lovely ladies, Daniella and Fatima.Very kind and professional... FOOD Excellent food.Very tasty and well cooked. I was there with friends from Kerith church in Windsor and we had a lovely time.... each one orederd something different...all were satisfied. Highly recommend this place and if ever in the vicinity I would go there again...”
“Stopped in Athlete Service in the middle of a long ride after a friend’s cleat broke. Rob was incredibly friendly and helpful, and broke one of his few remaining packs of pedals to replace said cleat. Great selection of brands and products in store; if I lived in Henley I would be delighted to have this as my local bike shop!”
“Favourite coffee place in Henley, perfect coffee and very friendly staff - secret garden at the back is fabulous when the sun is out.”
“A surprise dinner booked by hubby. The restaurant is cosy with proper tablecloths. The mirrors on the walls make it look bigger but it was lovely. Staff are friendly, menu was quite extensive in choice and they still had specials available. Choices were beef carpaccio- veal - cauliflower cheese - minestrone soup and lam in mushroom and red wine sauce , potato’s and mixed veg…. It all tasted really good - we will be back”
“We took a party of 47 oldies and volunteers for a day trip to Henley on 11 June - a river boat trip along the Henley regatta course and on to the Baskerville Arms in Shiplake for a wonderful lunch and a relaxing afternoon in their beautiful pub garden before the coach trip back home to Farnham. Graham and Gill were so helpful in advance of our visit - creating a special menu and endeavouring to meet specific needs. And on the day all food was served in good time and efficiently by a team of happy and willing staff with everybody getting what they had advanced ordered. So many positive comments from our oldies - they want to go back next year!! Graham also ensured that the coach could park right outside the pub making life so much easier for everyone. Thank you for a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️++ service and meal.”
“Outstanding 3-screen cinema, conveniently situated in the heart of Henley-on-Thames, very close to a large car park - £3 for 3 hours parking. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. They make you feel at home immediately. From the cosy coffee shop located on the ground floor to the cafe bar on the first floor, the Regal Picturehouse feels both luxurious and homely. Both the ground floor and first-floor cafe seating areas afford pleasant views of the surrounding town. The tea and coffee we purchased tasted very nice indeed. The screening rooms, like everything else, are kept scrupulously clean. The seats are comfortable, with plenty of leg room. The sound is loud enough but not too loud and crystal clear. The adverts before the film, not too long at all. The toilets are clean and well-appointed and offer up hand lotion as well as liquid soap. A nice touch. There is a customer lift as well as stairs to the first floor. There is an option to become a member, which as well as offering plenty of benefits with regards to the cinema, also includes discounts for patronising local businesses in the town. Regal Picturehouse, Henley, comes very highly recommended indeed.”
“Nice cozy pub. We went there after a walk along the Chiltern way. Photo is taken at Greys Court nearby”
“Boooooom! Service, food, location… 5 star all the way! Immediately after a lovely morning cruise, and the brain calories burnt along the way in speed using a knots system, then immediately off the boat and straight into this fabulous riverside restaurant that enables dine al fresco with a shade, to avoid getting burnt! The food was absolutely amazing and service was exceptionally warming and welcoming at the same time!”
“Lovely small cafe in Henley. Coffee was perfect and homemade cookies was very delicious and fresh from their kitchen. Other pastries was good.Staffs very friendly & attentive. One of my my favourite coffee shop in Henley on Thames.”
“We visited with friends for Sunday roast as a colleague had heard great things about this pub with its new owners. Our booking was for 1pm and we were greeted with friendly faces and shown to our table. There was no menu but, we were shown the blackboard with all of today's choices written on it. There were a few choices if you did not want a roast. After getting drinks all four of us chose the roast lamb. When our food arrived OMG it looked incredible. Large dining plates with a great selection and portion of mixed veggies, roasties, cauliflower cheese and a large (but not football sized) Yorkshire pudding. All this covered and swimming in gravy. The Yorkshire was surprisingly moist and tasty for its size. I am not a fan of the huge ones as they are usually dry and crunchy but, this was perfect! The lamb was delicious and so soft and flavoursome. The selection of veggies were perfect and not overcooked. The roasties were fantastic and with the gravy were demolished with enjoyment. To cut a long story short. We finished our main courses with smiling faces and 4 completely empty plates. Pudding choices were 2 Sticky toffee Puddings with ice cream and 2 crumble and custard. Again four very contented diners having had what we all agreed was the best pub Sunday roast and pudding that tasted like it was home cooked! Thank you Grace and Mike for your hospitality. Looking forward to our next visit already (whenever that is..)”
“A cozy, quirky pub, with so much character. Loved popping in here for a drink. A great atmosphere, friendly service. Plenty of selection and good prices. Only advice...watch your head on the beams!!! Duck, duck, duck!! I have a recomendation after witnessing a customer hit his head badly on the beam near the bar. I am sat in another pub right now and in the picture attached they have cushioned the risky beam. May e an idea for "The Old Bell". As the sign is not visible enough to customers.”
“After visiting the B&G, Andrei and his wife Alina have been so welcoming every time we have been in. The pub is lovely with their presence and are so attentive. Great service! Thank you.”
“Not eaten here so no comment, but I'd imagine the nosebag is decent. Harvey's Sussex Bitter is the go to beer here and a classic. Budvar too and other decent beers with Amstel, Birra Moretti, Cruzcampo etc for those who drink the label and have to have it on their glass.”
“This is a great spot to have a beer and play some pool or darts and watch the sports. I’ve never had food in there but a good spot for a decent selection of beers”
“We came here on a very dull and rainy afternoon for lunch and it was still rather busy, so assume it is a locals favourite. Service was with a friendly smile and was swift and efficient. Some excellent choices of drinks as well as food, something for everyone, the half hungry or starving! Decent non alcoholic drinks / beers for the drivers of this world which was nice! Opted for the fresh plaice and deer steak both succulent and perfectly cooked and proportions were perfect. Prices on par with others in the area, all very clean and spacious, there are a lot of decent eateries in Henley but this one is in definitely in the top half.”
“Such a great place for food - we stumbled upon it by accident in the summer and have been several times. There is a lovely lake to walk round with the dogs and then pop in for a drink or food (dog friendly). We had a Sunday roast and the food came out quickly and piping hot. Would absolutely recommend, good food and good value for money”
“Really enjoyed.the burger special - good value, great burger and friendly service. The pub had a great buzz. We will definately be back”
“An exceptional company where passion, care and attention to detail across its range of fantastic pubs and inns with rooms, makes any of them a pleasure to visit.”
“Today while I was walking around Henley, I saw an ad for this vibrant-looking drink on a shop window and decided to give it a try. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the lady who prepared my order with such care. Despite the heat outside, the shop was perfectly cool inside – I honestly didn’t feel like leaving. The place was peaceful, beautifully decorated, and had a really calming vibe. The drink itself was delicious and refreshing. I’m definitely going to visit again and try more from their menu. Highly recommended if you’re in Henley!”
