We visited this restaurant for breakfast, a place we usually go to once every couple of months and have enjoyed in the past. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was very disappointing. First of all, the English full breakfast that we always order was noticeably more expensive than usual. When placing the order You pay first, and then your order is served, which is fine, but what really surprised us was being asked for a tip before any food was served. We found this quite rude, as we hadnβt even seen or tasted the food yet. When the food arrived, it was not up to the standard we remembered. It tasted extremely salty and seemed rushed, as if it had been prepared carelessly. On top of that, we were seated at a table in the middle area, and every time the front door opened, cold air hit my back directly. When we closed the door to stay warm, the staff came and reopened it, saying they had no ventilation and needed to keep the door open. This was done without much consideration for our comfort, even though it was clearly cold. Overall, this visit was a big letdown compared to our previous experiences. The service, food quality, and attitude toward customers were far from what we expect, and unfortunately, it left us with a very negative impression.

We had a lovely light lunch at Spoon in Henley. The salads were delicious and very fresh. The portions were generous, with lots of the 'toppings'. I had the chicken caesar salad, which was delicious and had a good amount of chicken and bacon on it. The cakes were great too. You choose a table then order at the till. The food came reasonably quickly, with not a long wait. It wasn't super busy but there were only a couple of tables left. I would definitely recommend Spoon for a light bite, and there were other things on the menu that sounded good too.

I went to Spoon for brunch with my grandparents and had a delightful experience! The coffee was delicious and looked beautiful, which is hard to get these days. I had the potato hash which was so yummy and the red onion added so much flavour! My grandmothers avocado and eggs were a classic brunch dish that was excellently executed with fresh and organic ingredients. The staff were also lovely, especially Joanna, which really added a positive element to our visit I donβt usually leave reviews but this local business is worth checking out!

I recently visited Spoon in Henley and had an amazing experience! The cafe is located in a beautiful town, adding to the charm. I tried the avocado on toast with mushrooms and the eggs royale for breakfastβboth were absolutely delicious. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall fantastic experience. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend Spoon to anyone looking for a great meal in Henley! β€οΈ

It is rare I don't manage to finish an English Breakfast. But I must admit my defeat, as the portion at Spoon Cafe is twice as big as normal. And it's good quality too! Also tried their Eggs Royale, very generous as well. And took some of their flapjacks takeaway.

We stopped for a coffee and cake at Spoon when visiting Henley-on-Thames. It had a great vibe and the service was very friendly and efficient. I throughly enjoyed my Raspberry Oat Bake, and the coffee was delicious too. It was very busy when we visited, which was a sure sign that this independent coffee shop is very popular with locals and visitors alike.

Really tasty food in a small cute cafe. We had the N'duja eggs and Salmon Fritters. The chef made dairy free eggs for my son who has an allergy. Always appreciated when allergies are catered for. Friendly staff too. Would visit again if in the area.

Really yummy and cute cafe in Henley. It was a bit busy when we went at 12:30pm on a Thursday but managed to get probably the last free table as we were walking in. You order at the counter and the portions sizes are quite large, especially considering the quantity of avo and salmon. The coffees were also really nice (we had matcha and chai lattes) but not made very sweet - you can of course add your own sugar. Staff were really friendly and didnβt mind that we played cards for a while after we finished eating (it was less busy by then so there were other free tables!)
