   This place can be excellent or very bland, it varies SO MUCH from day to day. Sundays are not good. Two chowmein dishes ordered and both very pale and bland with almost no chicken or charsui at all. I’ve had this dish many times and can be excellent. Such a shame as it makes eating here a lottery, you might win but you might loose - tonight I lost. Are there different chefs?

   Been here 3 times. At first the food was less greasy as other places. I was really impressed. Third time, food was cold. Rice tasted off, chips tasted reheated and uncooked, sweet and sour sauce wasn't how it should taste. Couldn't even bite into chicken bslls. Woke up 5am the next morning in excruciating stomach pain, felt like I'd been stabbed. This never happens unless it's after a takeaway. Will avoid now.

   I have had several good meals from here, but yesterday we had a really awful meal. It tasted like it was reheated from the previous night. The chicken was dry and the vegetables had a metallic taste. The sauce was dull and everything like it wasn’t fresh. I phoned and asked to speak to someone quietly about the experience and there was no explanation and no desire to make things right in any way. I would have expected them to show some interest but there was absolutely no interest in seeing things from our perspective. So I will avoid this place now.

   Really lovely Chinese take away, ordered in store and food was delicious, great portions and enjoyed by all of us. The chicken sweet and sour balls , half duck and prawn toast were particular favourites! Had while on holiday and had ready for agreed pick up time. Great experience

   After hearing not great things we decided to see for ourselves. Wow the food was outstanding, hot, fresh, good size portions and delicious. The girl that served me was very polite and professional, with a lively smile. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. We bought on a Thursday evening and collected.

   Golden Hill serves consistently good food and is always efficient at preparing the dishes. Whenever we phone to order, the food is usually ready after about ten minutes. The service is always polite and friendly. I had a particularly tasty Satay Chicken today, which was packed with peppers, carrots and onions. Drunken Dynamite is another favourite!

   Everything was stone cold, it clearly hadnt been left in the bag too long as it was as if it had just come out of a fridge. The restaurant clearly forgot to microwave everything other than the starters. Food was average after we microwaved it ourselves, what you'd expect from a local Chinese takeaway. Rated 2 stars due to a lack of other options in the area, but will get an Indian next time

   I find this place to be exceptionally clean compared to alot of take away services available. The food was served fast and service was with a smile. First timers at this place, but I cannot fault it.
