    Having spent more than three hours at Demain est. 1953 yesterday, and treating myself with the crème de la crème of various clothing items - such as a plethora of shirts, trousers, ties, a pair of shoes and a pair of belts to match - I have come to realise that the company's owner Jonathan is not only a connoisseur of all things pertaining to fashion, but a gentleman and a scholar who provides the highest quality of service and help. When visiting, be sure to expect on having access to the highest level of clothing available on the market, top quality support, and a long and hearty chat with the boss himself!

    Jonathan gives a fantastic experience; the customer service is tailored just as much as the suit! I was looking for a wedding suit, but wasn’t really sure what I wanted - until I saw it. Jonathan has a genuine interest in what the occasion is and how all the items of an outfit might fit together perfectly. I didn’t realise I was a fussy customer until Jonathan took me on a veritable tour of his stock and I tried “this one, that one, the other one…and this one, again”. He took it all in stride and delivered!

    I do not pretend to be a suit expert, but when shopping for clothes, I am often disappointed in the quality and service. Not here! The owner keeps a well sourced collection of beautiful suits, to back it up he has 3 generations of knowledge and a long career of experience. It’s fair to say he has legitimate expertise, an interesting and cultured chap too. He made the time to share his insight into the craft and style of the various garments and organically helped me find the perfect suit, even though I didn’t quite know what I wanted if I’m honest. Alterations were made within 2 weeks at a fair price. The prices here are good value considering the quality of the clothes alone, when you consider the service on offer it makes the deal that much sweeter. I ended up spending more than I originally wanted on my suit, but I don’t regret a penny, as I have now got ‘more’ suit that I thought was possible, and it will give me joy for years to come. The term ‘buy cheap buy twice’ comes to mind. Even if you haven’t considered buying at this ‘level’ in the market, have a look, there’s usually some deals to be had. If you appreciate the idea of dealing with a small independent business, one to one, this is a chance to do so, a chance that is sadly becoming rarer in all industries. It was a pleasure. I’d recommend Demain to anyone who needs a suit for an occasion, and if I could afford to I’d probably get one for every day of the week too! Many thanks.

    I have been going to Jonathan for the last few years, and he has never let me down. When I first went to him, I was buying 'off the peg' suits from the rather cheap and cheerful suit retailers of Reading, who normally didn't give two hoots as to how well the the suit fitted! However, with Jonathan, he has extensive knowledge of the industry, gives great customer care and is a nice chap too! He is always prepared to go the extra mile and give the best price possible. I would highly recommend him!
