Not a great experience. First the shop assistant at the changing rooms asked me to "next time put the clothes back on the hangers" which would be reasonable if she first bothered to check whether I'm even returning them to her, which I wasn't. Then at the till my clothes were put through and luckily I was paying attention as the total was more than £20 more than I expected as "people put the discount stickers on and it's not discounted". I can understand that some people might do that, but I didn't see any effort from the shop assistant to peel the discount stickers off after I returned these items, which means someone less careful might pay more than they expected next. Also the changing rooms are very filthy. It was 2hrs since opening and there were mounds of dust everywhere. I wish Zara clothes were more size consistent so I could just buy online instead.

My experience at the Zara in Southampton was extremely disappointing. Yesterday, I visited the store to purchase a velvet dress for a quinceañera happening next July. The dress was missing a price tag, and due to the long line, I didn’t have the chance to try it on before purchasing. When I inquired about the possibility of returning the dress if it didn’t fit or suit me, the first sales associate was understanding and assured me that I had 30 days to make an exchange. However, things took a turn when another employee, a Polish woman who is short, with light blonde hair and transparent glasses, began to embarrass me in front of everyone. She made insinuations that I might wear the dress and then return it, which was not only humiliating but also completely untrue. She stated outright, “If you wear the dress, we will know,” which was incredibly awkward and embarrassing, especially with a long line of customers watching. I felt deeply disrespected and hurt by her judgmental attitude. I left the store in tears, feeling utterly disappointed with Zara’s customer service. I hope the company will address these issues and ensure that no other customer has to go through such an experience. For anyone visiting, I advise caution and to be aware of this employee’s behavior.

The staff in this Zara are disgustingly rude. Particularly the lady who is always in the changing rooms wearing a headscarf. Zero customer service and have no issues wasting your time. I dont no if this is isolated to southampton or not but they seem particularly bad here. They have zero common sense or consideration for the customer. I would go as far as driving to a different zara to avoid them. Vile.

I asked for a perfume that wasnt on display and the lovely lady named Matilda was so helpful and thorough, she located it for me in the stock room and was so kind. I was so happy as that was the perfume I really wanted. Very friendly and helpful

My biggest issue are flickering lights in fitting rooms and the entrance of fitting room. When I left I had a headache! What about people who have epilepsy? I strongly recommend for them don't go to that shop. Zara need to change their lights, it's a nightmare.

I went last Thursday evening and the staff there are really rude and unhelpful! Even without exchanging many words (like the girls that were in the fitting rooms area -which area btw looked like it hasn't been cleaned in days-) you can still notice the bad way they look at you and the bad manner that they take the clothes from you when you're done with them (or they directly tell you to put them away yourself). Very disappointing

The staff are aggressively unfriendly here, the women in particular are very unhelpful and unapproachable I honestly felt it was hassle for them for people to be shopping there. 3 of them on fitting rooms and no acknowledgement from any of them, I didn't see one single smile. Will not be using this branch ever again

Visited the store on the morning of Tuesday 3rd and was forced to queue for 25 mins to pay for 1 item. It was absolutely appalling, only one member of staff on the tills, and there didn’t seem to be any signal to alert other members of staff to help on the tills. In addition numerous members of staff were quite happy to walk past without offering any assistance. This is not acceptable! It is extremely poor customer service and absolutely abysmal management. Please address this issue.

I love Zara as a brand and I love the shop in Southampton! Staff tries their best to keep the shop tidy and nice to the eye! Of course during sales time probably better to visit late or during the week days as it can become very chaotic as too many clients and long queues at the till which I must say they try to manage really well!

I love zara, I love the beautiful and wonderful pieces, but why are the stores so dirty? how disgusting, the changing rooms smell of foot odor and the floor is very dirty, always very dirty, it makes me afraid of stepping on the floor and catching a disease. I'm sorry but I'm never going to that zara store in Southampton again. and the staff are rude and rude.
