“Place was a zoo! we went during the last week before school at 11a.m. it was packed. However when we finally got an assistant she was awesome. Could pick right size for kids just by looking at them. They insisted on trying on everything but she was never wrong and very patient. Super efficient so once we got started the process was quick and painless. Shop was way too small at this time of the year but the service was brilliant.”

“I love this place. There are so many bargain clothes to choose from. Most of the clothes are not the best quality but I always find a hidden gem. Some items are very cheap and of good quality. 3 floors to search, so prepare to spend los of hours in there.”

“Woke up this morning to two free hot drinks as I had been a John Lewis member for a year. My daughter and I were xmas shopping and stopped for a break. The staff were very busy, the place was packed but they were friendly, professional and happy, having to stop and explain things to customers in the queue, but with a smile and not rushing people. I had a lovely cappuccino and the pistachio cake was lovely, would definitely recommend. Well done under pressure the team was working amazingly well.”

“August 2025: Now moved to a new location around the corner in the former Next shop location close to JD Sports. I saw an add on my phone about a special offer at Mataland. So, I went to my local store at West Quay retail park. I went inside and was looking around for the item. I found the entire store to be really tidy and well set out as if it had just opened. I found a member of staff who, I later discovered was the manageress. I bought the item on offer and continued to look around the store. I was very impressed by everything. I don’t normally shop here but upon seeing this immaculately displayed store I will definitely be coming back again. The prices are also very good value too.”

“Well most of the customer will take the time to leave a review when they had a negative experience. A few days ago, I had an amazing experience at the store in the Swan centre in Eastleigh. I went to see if they had some Halloween costumes for my boys, which they had. Then, at the till, they have their new self check out till. Although it meant to be used by yourself but the lady behind the counter was much more efficient than me. Plus, I didn't have my H&M membership card and being with two young boys, I needed to go out quickly before they make a scene. She very kindly and very quickly find my membership number, check for vouchers and had everything done in less than a few minutes. I pay for my items with some great discount and left the shop very happy. Amazing shopping experience. However, I can't thank her properly as there is no name on the receipt. Anyway, thank you for your time and your help.”

“Nice little red cross shop located in the back of the village hall. Open from 10:00 to 16:00 on most days (except Sunday and Saturday), filled with stuff which is cheap and in good condition. Staff were friendly too. This place also accepts donations”
