Hobsons did an excellent repair job for me on a pair of Cheaney boots. They have a leather stitching machine so can repair damaged uppers. Also replaced the soles with quality rubber. Fairly priced, good customer service and a nice shop space too. Many thanks.

Well, took 4 pairs of gents shoes in in mid Feb, mobile nm was taken do that I could be contacted when shoes where completed .during the drop off had conversation with owner about shoes and guy was a total snob about his shop , work , and every other shoe mender in the town and made me feel that as my shoes weren’t £400 a pair that he didn’t really want to be bothered Anyway I had no contact for two months t b h id forgot about the shoes till I needed a pair for a funeral , so I went into shop as I thought there bound to be finished by now snd he’s probably lost my nm, He told me shoes ARENT ready as he’d been busy !!!! What for two bloody months!!!! Still no call Anyway I went back in on 2 of JUNE and they were Finished YAAAAYY He never apologised said one pair was scrap which is fine I get that £33.50 soled and heeled per pair and he didn’t even trim off excess material round sole and heel, I did that when I got home. You’re shop is in a fairly nice bit of a small failing midlands town , I travel to London weekly and the shops you seem to try model yourself on would never dream of behaving like this , they may be people in derby who use you’re services as it makes them feel up market ,how provincial .True wealthy people are discerning and see through this attitude instantly

Arrived seeing if my bag could be fixed. The loveliest lady greeted me and asked the gent if they could help. He said he ( might ) have some bits down stairs and to give me a ticket… the lady asked ( rightly ) would he be checking if there is one there before taking my bag and giving me a ticket… saying he was busy and to collect at the weekend ( not knowing if he even had the part to fix it.. so was i coming back to my bag fixed or not ) his attitude wasn’t all that at all, so I took my bag and left. Genuinely thankyou to the lovely lady I spoke to but the man. Awful
Excellent service, polite, professional. My Hiax work boots needed repairing tried several companies no one wanted to carry out the work travelled from Sheffield to Derby got them repaired like new saved me £££££ really impressed. Thanks again
Been using these guys as long as I have been in Derby, they never fail to impress with their skills and ability to repair and renovate boots and shoes. Top work !!
Extremely poor service. Took my shoes in to be repaired which they had for two weeks. They said the shoes would be repaired in the week. I then called the following week to check if they had been repaired. He said they hadn't been done yet but was going to do them that week, as i had mentioned that I would come in to collect them a few days later. A few days later i went to collect them, to be told that he still hadn't repaired them. He had my phone number but didn't even bother to call to acknowledge that he hadn't repaired them. Absolute waste of time and journey. Do not recommend them.
Locked myself out of my flat. Luke was very friendly, helpful and professional. Arrived on time and let me in straight away for a small fee. Would definitely recommend.
