I wish this place was open till late as my office closes 5.30pm and sometimes I just want a nice warm cup of coffee for my meet-up at the RBF. I end up having to go Black Sheep Coffee or GAIL’s for a warm drink as they close later.
Coffee amazing once I'd asked for it to be in a cup after not being asked if I wanted a take away cup or not. No pastries which is usually on offer and would have spent more. Sorry to say, terrible customer service and I would say 6 months ago was brilliant :-(
Regardless of how good the coffee or food at this place may be to some people, customer service must be maintained at a high standard and that isn’t happening - this establishment has failed to show any signs that they care for their customers regardless of their race, gender, etc. My friend had the worst experience here today (20/03/2023) and it was extremely disturbing to hear how the manager/owner treated her and her friends. My friend’s did not do anything to warrant the rudeness, threats and cold demeanour that she had to experience. They felt threatened, unsafe and disrespected. The manager’s behaviour left them speechless. The senior management team at this establishment needs to be closely reviewed.
It’s so disappointing when i take my friends who came all the way from jordan to visit me here to this cafe. the manager acts rude and attacks us for no reason, just because we were arabs i believe and then he kicked us out and threatened to call the police for something we didn't do!
Rude and racist owner did not feel safe here and felt uncomfortable. Don’t come here
Very bad venue owner who racially profiled me. As me and my friends were sitting in the cafe the owner kept coming up to us and disrupting us with excuses. Said I’m not allowed to use my phone. Accused my friend for talking back, treating her like a child, shushed her while she was talking, told us he’d call security on us, asked us to apologize to him so we left, said people complained about us saying we invaded their privacy. As we were leaving he escorted us and told us if we come back then he’ll call police for anti-social behavior. Never coming back.
