This place is a little gem. Has lovely staff and great food- it’s definitely the best option coffee shop wise as well as nice lunch meals etc in Wallingford without a doubt. Even better that it’s not a chain. I’m a sucker for their coffee & cakes!! But don’t miss their lunch options either- these’s a reason this place is busy!

Had a breakfast here around 9ish on Saturday, and it was lovely and quiet. The staff were very friendly and the food was delish, we had their Bacon Toastie (with little bit of Salad and Dressing and some Tortilla Crisps added with it) and the Mocha and Chai Latte were great too! The decor is very stylish and retro with painting of various people including Agatha Christie. Would absolutely recommend to any one, thank you

We visited Wallingford on a Sunday for a walk around the historical castle and stopped by Bean and Brew for a coffee. While most cafes were closed, this one was open and offered a large space with seating both upstairs and downstairs. It was quiet when we arrived but got busier as time went on. The cafe could benefit from some modernisation. The fabric seating was stained and didn't appear very clean, and the overall space seemed like it could use a good refresh. The mugs also had noticeable tea stains, and when wiped, the residue came off on my tissue, which was a bit off-putting. On a positive note, dogs are welcome, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered a couple of teas, a coffee, a tea cake, ginger and caramel cake, and a bacon & brie panini. Everything was very tasty, and we enjoyed it. While the experience was pleasant overall, it would be great to see the cafe get a bit of attention in terms of cleanliness and updating the decor.

Warm cosy atmosphere and decor. Good tasting coffee - didn’t get to try the cakes but they looked delicious. Dog friendly too!

Let me tell you about this place I stumbled upon - it was down-to-earth, the staff were super friendly (I mean, they practically bent over backwards to make sure we were happy), and it was the perfect spot for my inner child. Yes, that's right, folks, it's child-friendly! We pre-ordered afternoon tea, and boy, were we in for a treat. They made us feel like royalty with a fancy table cloth and everything. The food was delicious, and I swear those scones were still warm from the oven. I scarfed down a feta salad, sipped on a cappuccino, and indulged in a slice of heavenly chocolate cake. It was definitely an experience for my taste buds. And let's not forget about the board games. Who knew playing Monopoly with your friends could be so fun in public? We spent a couple of cozy hours battling it out and laughing our butts off. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to go back. Thanks for the great service and the yummy treats, guys!

We always prefer to use a local independent if we can. This place used to be better. The food and coffee is good but our table needed cleaning and the service was slow. Fewer people than usual so a bit quiet.

Lovely cafe with a great atmosphere. Food is alright but quite cheap. The cafe has a warm, homely feel to it with two floors. Lots of seating. Great for families or bigger groups. Service is great and fast, with friendly staff. Food is ok, pretty average. It is quite cheap which is a bonus. Drinks are great.
