   I went to the Hope and Bear last week and it was so cozy and Christmassy, they’ve really put in a lot of effort! There was even a wood burning stove. We had food and drinks and both were delicious, we had their home made scotch egg and the baked harissa goats cheese- both 10/10. Would definitely come back here to try more of the food and enjoy a nice country pub atmosphere that’s actually quite a central location. Thanks to Peter for the great service and food recommendations!

   The best thing about this place is the team, such a warm welcome who were helpful with a slightly disabled member of our group. Thank you Alex and apologies if i got your name wrong. The food was tasty and reasonably priced and we loved the wall/door murals.

   Brilliant, friendly service from Pete and Alastair this evening . Food is always delicious... firm favourites are the miso chicken skewers and the cauliflower wings, washed down this evening with a cold pint of Asahi! Would definitely recommend! Thanks guys, will see you soon

   Generally a nice spot with a pleasant atmosphere, but the service was very slow during our visit. We ordered three roasts and a chicken schnitzel and ended up waiting nearly 50 minutes for the food to arrive. When it finally did, the dishes were a bit inconsistent in temperature, which was disappointing after such a long wait. That said, the food itself was enjoyable once it arrived – good flavours and well-prepared overall.

   Great service from the beginning and very professional. Very accommodating for having Coeliac. So why 4 stars? The food was a little disappointing, i emphasise little, the main concern was the mixup of my GF food. The food itself could have been better and would like to try again to be certain. Any overall experience very good.

   Review update... I cannot praise the Manager, Dan, highly enough; he was kind enough to arrange a parking fine refund, which has been paid in full. If using the pub's car park, make sure you pay and display. I visited for the first time recently and was unaware that payment was required. £50.00 later, I am painfully aware. Best of luck folks.

   Nice, airy dog friendly pub with friendly staff. Food is ordered through a QR code on the table which has worked with no issues every time I've used it. Menu is varied so there's something for everyone and food is good quality with good portions. There's some vegan options on the menu- one on the sandwich menu and at least two on the main menu and they're not half-hearted. Would definitely recommend trying the falafel, as they are super tasty, crispy on the outside and light on the inside. They go well as an extra to the nourish bowl.

   Excellent place to have a lovely meal, especially a Sunday Roast. They offer a good range of food and drinks, all at a reasonable price. They were very good with covid regulations and made us feel welcomed. Highly recommended place to visit
