What an amazing pub to spend your Friday night at!! The bar staff are very nice and welcoming. The drinks are a good price. Food music and nice people is all you can ask for. Safe and a great investment.
Sam is the more then capable of being the front of the house. She definitely know how to handle an establishment like this Palmer Tavern. Tactful, diplomatic, speaking with clarity and totally informative. Drinks go down better with a lady of valour in charge. What a dandy atmosphere where all nations are welcome. Keep up the cool vibe where all are like one big family.
Went there for a few drinks with my friends and had a lovely time with Chelsea and Ellie they were so nice and welcoming and I felt very looked after. Lovely atmosphere not too busy to the point where it’s crowded. Will definitely be coming back. Chelsea was very funny and humorous and kept me giggling.
Had an amazing time at this pub! The atmosphere was great, drinks were spot on, and the highlight of the night was definitely the bartender, Chelsea. She was friendly, quick, and made everyone feel welcome — honestly turned a good night into a 10/10 experience. Can’t recommend this place enough, especially if Chelsea’s behind the bar!
Came here the other day and i was pleasantly surprised, Im not a local of Reading so this area was new to me but it felt like i discovered a new world. Everyone was so friendly (customers and staff). It was fairly busy in there and i still got served within seconds. The girl behind the bar, chelsea i think her name was, she was a breath of fresh air had good banter and service was top notch. Definitely coming back here when im next in reading 10/10

standard pub experience, open long hours which is nice. they have a couple of pool tables. was met with minor hostility from the staff, but I'll put it down to stress from working
Great place for students if your looking for a pub off campus. Fantastic pool table and community. Not as cheap as campus pubs but still reasonably priced and affordable. Food is fantastic! They offer 10% student discount too!
